So 4 cylinder accord can have issues? I have been driving 6 cylinder for long now and no issues. I thought 4cylinder is a nice car. Nigerians and their poverty mentality. Well, kpele shaa. I will check around and give you solution.

don't mean to hurt you, but the way Nigerians condemn V6 Accord baffles me, as if it was made to develop a problem immediately you drive it on the road after buying it.
I would have given you a contact, but you reside in Lagos, so check with the Ladipo guy. And Please, buy recommended ATF for Honda after fixing it.

aarrrggghhhh!!!! Your mechanic 'finished' your honda transmission! If you go through your manual, it is clearly stated that you only use ATF dexron ll or lll only when you can't get Honda ATF Z1 (though when next you want to buy go for Honda ATF DW1 which is an improvement over the earlier stated one). All the best as you fix your car.

i don't honestly think it's poverty that causes nigerians to go for I4 over v6 models....come to think of it, as a result of higher demand I4 models can even be more expensive to buy. Funny if you ask me. Seriously, you shouldn't blame most people who go for I4 over v6 (accord models only). Truth is most of the accords who develop transmission issues 'naturally' are of the v6 stock.....just google that and you will confirm what i have just written.....and yes, i agree that it is actually overstated here in nigeria.

I actually checked that Oando fluid then, and it was written dextron III...that was why i allowed him....

yeah, i meant to say dexron lll is only for temporary use in a honda and should be changed as soon as possible because continous use will certainly cause damage to the transmission.

Its not poverty mentality, just bad and lazy mechanics who have branded the V6 bad cos they can't decipher it. Let me tell you a secret: V6 engines are cheaper than I4 engines you know. As for me its V6 all the way.
