He can go for extra coaching in he subjects he is weak. He can learn a trade, some kind of hand work (just in case). He can learn football/basketball and might have a talent for such.

Can't he learn some basic computer packages like Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc?

He may also learn a new language, preferably French or Chinese (if u av d money), I dnt mean ur village dialect oo grin

He can even learn swimming for future purposes, especially emergency situations.

There are a lot of things he can learn, depending on where his interest lies and your pocket.

I'm guessing you already have an idea of some of his hobbies and pastimes. Let him have some more of it or develop in it, he just finished an exam and needs some time off.

Like the others have said, he can learn something new. Don't forget to reward him when necessarysmiley Goodluck

After J. S. 3, hes going to S. S 1, right? Then, let him be enrolled in a private coaching centre where he would be exposed to the rudiments of S. S subject, that will enable him to know his area of interest and future professional capabilities, which will at the end of the day help him to choose the department (whether science or arts or commercial class), he would be when he gets to the senior secondary school.
May God help him and provide for you and all of us.

Why cant he learn hat making, you could also register him in a music school to learn guitar, keyboard and all,you can also register him in a fashion school to learn make up,hair etc.these are all the things that make money now.so before he gets to ss3,he can be making his own money.during the holidays he can be using his skills to make money

Music: playing keyboard. I learnt that during one of those useless strikes many years ago.
French: I learnt that during one of those useless boring holidays. I hardly can speak it again, but in occasions where needed, it has been of help to me.
Chess: It will help develop his analytical reasoning.

So many options for your boy. Don't just make him waste his time with DSTv and all sorts of other nonsense.

Based on the title of your post, let him be running up and down your street just to keep busy as you asked.

What ever he's good at. If he's good with his hands, send him to learn a skill of his choice. If he is good at academics, let him start practicing for senior waec, jamb ets. If he is good at football, enrol him in a football academy.
