Kingsley1000:
Governor Peter Obi's
government is a huge fraud; this
government is full of deceit. The
living conditions of our people
by all indications have become
more miserable. There is a total embargo on employment. The
governor is not creating jobs it
covenanted in his campaign
brochures to use to fight crimes.
The only attempt at creating
jobs is the purchase of few mass transit mini buses and the
terror machine known as
Anambra State Traffic Agency
(ASTA). None of these ASTA
staff have received salaries
since they were employed in January 2008. ASTA and other Internally
Generated Revenue (IGR) agents
employ Gestapo tactics to
terrify the citizens in the name
of generating and hitting the N1
billion monthly revenue benchmark set out by the State
government.
The Health situation is alarming.
The doctors in Anambra have
been on strike two times in
nine months. And the entire hospitals were shut over three
months. And our Governor says
he does not know why they
were strike. It took few days
for Governor Babatunde Fashola
of Lagos State to resolve a similar case. Primary health care in Anambra
State has virtually collapsed and
that was part of the reasons the
doctors went on strike. Yet
somebody is celebrating the
accreditation of a general hospital and the building of the
first kidney dialysis centre,
which is certain, will not be
completed in four years. People are trapped daily in
agonizing traffic snarls as a
result of the total uninterrupted
neglect of our roads or the
recent shoddy and withy -
washy rehabilitation of roads by the government in response
to pressures of my strident
criticisms. Awka is still like a
war devastated area. Not even
the Nnamdi Azikiwe University
Junction Fly-over started by his predecessor in 2006 has been
completed. The lives of
Anambra State citizens are now
miserable, nasty and brutish. Our educational sector is in a
parlous state. Even Agulu Boys
in the governor's hometown
and the governor's alma mater,
the St Joseph's Boys Secondary
School in Agulueri, are in a descript state. Agulu Boys was
the best in infrastructure some
years back. Please take a visit
there and you will shed tears.
Number of students per class is
averaging 55. None of the workers of the state was paid
salary last December. Water
Corporation staff are yet to be
paid since the governor came
into office, they are starving to
death and over 40 have died. ANSEPA staff are owed over 22
months salary. Awka, Nnewi
and Onitsha are dirtier. No pipe
borne water in the state, which
is a record in the country. When the Water Corporation
pensioners brought their
predicament to me I wrote the
Governor but he gave no heed.
When I heard his argument on
the matter on the television, it flew in the face. I took the
matter before the House of
Assembly for investigation. I
was shocked that the Assembly
approved the sum of N805m in
2006 for the payment of all arrears of salaries and pensions
of workers and retirees in 2007.
To my greatest shock, on the
floor of the House, the
governor's Special Adviser Engr.
Nick Obi, admitted that the N805 million was kept in the
bank and that the governor was
arranging to give out the money
as a loan to a private federal
contractors to revive the Water
Corporation. Till date that money is still lying in the bank
accumulating interest and the
loan is yet to be given and the
workers are dying everyday.
The interests are yet to be
accounted for. And the bank is trading with this money. I have
never regretted any action I
took between 2003 and 2006
(role in frustrating Obi's impeachment)to confront what I saw as an unacceptable
onslaught on democracy and
rule of law. I am indeed
prepared to defend our
Governor again should such
circumstances as the unlawful declaration of a looser of an
election as the winner or his
unconstitutional impeachment
arise again. It is the system that
we seek to defend and protect,
but there must always be beneficiaries of such struggle to
sustain our democracy. Obi is the principal beneficiary
of the rule of law, But in his
nearly four years in office he
has done the opposite.
The government directed that
the Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS), even against
National Broadcasting
Commission (NBC) code of
conduct, not to relay opposition
views, not to carry news on bad
roads or requests of any community on government. In
fact, the governor uses more
than one third of the air time on
State Media campaigning for
second term. An erected N100
million mast, without a dummy load, which he procured for ABS
Channel 24 that does not go
beyond Enugu Agidi, bought
through a Yoruba front has
collapsed. An N18m sports complex is yet
to be completed in almost four
years. The other day it was
reported that his wife spends
about N10m from the budget of
the Ministry of Women Affairs on each of her tour of the 177
communities.
I would want the EFCC and ICPC
to immediately move in to
investigate if such expenditure
of public funds by one who is neither elected nor appointed
into a government. Multiply
N10m by 177, it gives us over
1.7 billion wasted on second
term tour. The EFCC needs to investigate
these and the notorious
allegations of government's
funds changing hands between
contractors and the governor,
Fidelity and Intercontinental Banks. EFCC should investigate
the flying allegations of
massive embezzlement of local
government funds by the State
Executive. But Obi’s
administration is only better in deception. A government which
cannot match the little
achievements recorded by Chris
Ngige cannot be better in real
terms. This government is
elevating the art of deception as a tool of governance. How
will this government package
itself as performing when it is
not? And use our hard earned
money and scarce resources to
project achievements that do not exist or at best, white
elephant or withy -washy
projects. This Government lives on
advertorial; in pamphlets; in
gigantic billboards; in calendars
and almanacs, websites and
other media. This government
does not live in the heart of the people.
This government is a
combination of the
incompetence of Mbadinuju and
the fraud of Enugu's Chimaraoke
Nnamani in elevating dishonesty, and deceit as a tool
of governance.
The Governor has recently
purchased three bullet proof
armoured jeeps. And don't forget that Ngige did
the dualisation of the
Bridgehead to Lagos Park of the
expressway five years ago. You
can't find a single pothole on
that portion or any portion of the over 300 km roads Ngige
did since 2004. Throughout the
year 2008, the Governor first
went to town telling people
that all the dilapidated roads in
the State were federal roads and that it is federal
government duty to rehabilitate
them. When people like us put
pressure on him by going to the
public to remind him that Ngige
did federal roads with about N6
billion of the state funds even
when we had a hostile federal government that could be said
to be at war with our state, our
dear governor shifted ground
and now claimed that Mr.
President has refused to grant
him permission to do the federal roads in spite of his
several written requests.
But sensing that campaigns for
the 2010 Gubernatorial Election
will start early 2009, he made
somersault and started flagging off the construction of the same
federal roads. Ngige never engaged in
advertisements. He never
printed any leaflet or pamphlet
or almanac or calendars to
advertise his achievements. Nor
did he create fictitious email, websites, and amorphous
organizations to praise him. All
the works done was a case of
res ipsa loquitor, speaking for
themselves. If you were in Adazi or
Isuanioma and other places last
Christmas at occasions where
Obi and Ngige met, you will pity
Obi. He was thoroughly
humiliated while Ngige got standing ovations. This year the
Governor hurriedly disappeared
from a wedding he attended in
Lagos upon hearing that Ngige
would be arriving same place. It
turned out that a mischief who did not want the governor to
use the ceremony to campaign
for his second term had dropped
the false tale of Ngige's
attendance to scare the Obi
away and it worked. Whatever the government is
doing now is geared at
hoodwinking us that he is doing
something. He could not do
anything in the first three years
of his government. Now at the last lap, he wants to deceive us
that he is doing something
because I have put him under
critical searchlight. Even the
roads started by Ngige and
Virgy Etiaba, when she was governor, were abandoned.
Remember that when Etiaba
came in, she continued with the
roads Ngige started but when
Obi came back he abandoned
them.Governor Peter Obi's

Sentiment will kill igbo people you better choose the best before you settle with the worst. We yoruba people know that they are all thieves, but we would rather go with thieves that will at least do something rather than the one that would not do anything at all and still steal our money. Seat down there be worrying about acn tunde, as lagos is moving on while your state is failing you. If your leaders are doing their job we won't have igbo people roaming yoruba street aimlessly. Think properly. You are all talking as if it tunde that will tell ngige how to run a state or if you vote ngige it's tunde that would come and rule you.

parlous state. Even Agulu Boys
in the governor's hometown
and the governor's alma mater,
the St Joseph's Boys Secondary
School in Agulueri, are in a descript state. Agulu Boys was
the best in infrastructure some
years back. Please take a visit
there and you will shed tears.
Number of students per class is
averaging 55. None of the workers of the state was paid
salary last December. Water
Corporation staff are yet to be
paid since the governor came
into office, they are starving to
death and over 40 have died. ANSEPA staff are owed over 22
months salary. Awka, Nnewi
and Onitsha are dirtier. No pipe
borne water in the state, which
is a record in the country. When the Water Corporation
pensioners brought their
predicament to me I wrote the
Governor but he gave no heed.
When I heard his argument on
the matter on the television, it flew in the face. I took the
matter before the House of
Assembly for investigation. I
was shocked that the Assembly
approved the sum of N805m in
2006 for the payment of all arrears of salaries and pensions
of workers and retirees in 2007.
To my greatest shock, on the
floor of the House, the
governor's Special Adviser Engr.
Nick Obi, admitted that the N805 million was kept in the
bank and that the governor was
arranging to give out the money
as a loan to a private federal
contractors to revive the Water
Corporation. Till date that money is still lying in the bank
accumulating interest and the
loan is yet to be given and the
workers are dying everyday.
The interests are yet to be
accounted for. And the bank is trading with this money. I have
never regretted any action I
took between 2003 and 2006
(role in frustrating Obi's impeachment)to confront what I saw as an unacceptable
onslaught on democracy and
rule of law. I am indeed
prepared to defend our
Governor again should such
circumstances as the unlawful declaration of a looser of an
election as the winner or his
unconstitutional impeachment
arise again. It is the system that
we seek to defend and protect,
but there must always be beneficiaries of such struggle to
sustain our democracy. Obi is the principal beneficiary
of the rule of law, But in his
nearly four years in office he
has done the opposite.
The government directed that
the Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS), even against
National Broadcasting
Commission (NBC) code of
conduct, not to relay opposition
views, not to carry news on bad
roads or requests of any community on government. In
fact, the governor uses more
than one third of the air time on
State Media campaigning for
second term. An erected N100
million mast, without a dummy load, which he procured for ABS
Channel 24 that does not go
beyond Enugu Agidi, bought
through a Yoruba front has
collapsed. An N18m sports complex is yet
to be completed in almost four
years. The other day it was
reported that his wife spends
about N10m from the budget of
the Ministry of Women Affairs on each of her tour of the 177
communities.
I would want the EFCC and ICPC
to immediately move in to
investigate if such expenditure
of public funds by one who is neither elected nor appointed
into a government. Multiply
N10m by 177, it gives us over
1.7 billion wasted on second
term tour. The EFCC needs to investigate
these and the notorious
allegations of government's
funds changing hands between
contractors and the governor,
Fidelity and Intercontinental Banks. EFCC should investigate
the flying allegations of
massive embezzlement of local
government funds by the State
Executive. But Obi’s
administration is only better in deception. A government which
cannot match the little
achievements recorded by Chris
Ngige cannot be better in real
terms. This government is
elevating the art of deception as a tool of governance. How
will this government package
itself as performing when it is
not? And use our hard earned
money and scarce resources to
project achievements that do not exist or at best, white
elephant or withy -washy
projects. This Government lives on
advertorial; in pamphlets; in
gigantic billboards; in calendars
and almanacs, websites and
other media. This government
does not live in the heart of the people.
This government is a
combination of the
incompetence of Mbadinuju and
the fraud of Enugu's Chimaraoke
Nnamani in elevating dishonesty, and deceit as a tool
of governance.
The Governor has recently
purchased three bullet proof
armoured jeeps. And don't forget that Ngige did
the dualisation of the
Bridgehead to Lagos Park of the
expressway five years ago. You
can't find a single pothole on
that portion or any portion of the over 300 km roads Ngige
did since 2004. Throughout the
year 2008, the Governor first
went to town telling people
that all the dilapidated roads in
the State were federal roads and that it is federal
government duty to rehabilitate
them. When people like us put
pressure on him by going to the
public to remind him that Ngige
did federal roads with about N6
billion of the state funds even
when we had a hostile federal government that could be said
to be at war with our state, our
dear governor shifted ground
and now claimed that Mr.
President has refused to grant
him permission to do the federal roads in spite of his
several written requests.
But sensing that campaigns for
the 2010 Gubernatorial Election
will start early 2009, he made
somersault and started flagging off the construction of the same
federal roads. Ngige never engaged in
advertisements. He never
printed any leaflet or pamphlet
or almanac or calendars to
advertise his achievements. Nor
did he create fictitious email, websites, and amorphous
organizations to praise him. All
the works done was a case of
res ipsa loquitor, speaking for
themselves. If you were in Adazi or
Isuanioma and other places last
Christmas at occasions where
Obi and Ngige met, you will pity
Obi. He was thoroughly
humiliated while Ngige got standing ovations. This year the
Governor hurriedly disappeared
from a wedding he attended in
Lagos upon hearing that Ngige
would be arriving same place. It
turned out that a mischief who did not want the governor to
use the ceremony to campaign
for his second term had dropped
the false tale of Ngige's
attendance to scare the Obi
away and it worked. Whatever the government is
doing now is geared at
hoodwinking us that he is doing
something. He could not do
anything in the first three years
of his government. Now at the last lap, he wants to deceive us
that he is doing something
because I have put him under
critical searchlight. Even the
roads started by Ngige and
Virgy Etiaba, when she was governor, were abandoned.
Remember that when Etiaba
came in, she continued with the
roads Ngige started but when
Obi came back he abandoned
them.
