Thanks for your response and u are right about the sound cos I observed it. Surprisingly, I noticed the one making strange sounds to be aggressive, it was attacking d oda female turkey they both grew up together and I released them yesterday since it was weekend. This morning it was a thug of war between both females as they have injured themselves without one surrendering to the oda... I was forced to separate them. I left the one not giving sound yet with d male while d one making d sound with the smaller ones. But before I return from work the female Turkey has almost killed the only young male turkey biting off one of his ears n his whole head covered with blood. And immediately this was observed by my people at home they bring the big female Turkey out and after a short while she lay egg. My question is do I have to keep her with the big male turkey for her to keep laying fertilised eggs? Or I shud separate her completely while she lays without having to mate with the big male turkey?

How can you distinguish between a fertile and non-fertile egg? My turkey started laying before I got a tom. Now, they have been mating with more eggs layer. I want to separate fertile and non- fertile eggs. Thanks

plz can turkey hatch themselves.. I have 5 turkeys(2 males,3 females). and now they are laying even though I was pack some eggs away from them thinking they can't hatch but they continued laying themselves...2 are actually laying

Yes turkey can hatch by themselves. Though some misbehave, turkey generally are not good mothers so when the hatch lock them in a room with her poult and feed them till they grow

It laid the first egg outside so I moved the egg to a safe place where it laid 4 more and stopped.

She still go out every day 2 to 3 times a day, I think she will lay more eggs.
