_The statement from the NNPC also said that the exploration of the oil in the North has, so far, gulped a shocking sum of about N27 billion and $340 million correspondingly. ''A shocking N27 billion'' isn't the right phrase to use. I prefer it to be read as, '' A fantastically manipulated, uncannily juxtaposed and wickedly formulated figures flying to the tune of over N27 billion of Nigerian's hard earned currency''. The most painful part is that after gulping this large amount of money, A SINGLE DROP OF CRUDE HASN'T BEEN SEEN, rather it's only ''POTENTIAL WELLS" that were discovered. Na wao for Naija. 1 Like |

The feeling a displaced Ugandan Jew from across the river gets upon reading good news about Nigeria is like that of worms sprinkled with salt- acute pains as a result of plasmolysis. Love to see them this way. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Nobody hates this news. We are happy the northern region might finally stop being laggard. Use the revenue to improve education. Next we can start restructuring towards fiscal federalism/ resource control nairalanders want. |

See all the 'awa oil' hacktivists suddenly forming felicitation with the North... ...when it is universal knowledge that their stock in trade is blackmailing the rest of the country with the oil located in their region... Your pain is visible from the moon 1 Like |

Blue3k: Has the oil in your region stopped your youths from being drunken and lazy criminals, militants, rapists and drug traffickers or has it changed Bayelsa from being a dirt poor state unable to pay its citizens or even provide basic toilet facilities for its people? The answer is a resounding NO. All this backwardness and underdevelopment in a region that enjoys the highest allocations, 13% derivation and multiple interventionist agencies including NDDC and its own Ministry? Talk about laggards extraordinaire Face your neck of the woods and remove the log in your eyes before pointing at the speck in others. 1 Like |

QuotaSystem: Drunken lazy crimal lol funny. Economicly Southern regions better per capita gdp, more educated, and less religious extreamism. Oil has helped region even though it not a Panacea for social vices and crime. Other than those few thing you mentioned probably happen in greater percent in your neck of the woods. With the all your leaching and political might poverty still follows your region. Lol try harder laggard region still a fact numbers and percentage don't lie. |

Striking out post doesn't dispute anything. If you can't come back with stats to counter my claim don't reply back. You're region is laggard in for economy. I wish best for North region and all my countrymen. I want this one Nigeria to succeed because we have lots of potential. |
