My Dear Ikwerre people,

I bring you glad tidings. I have noticed a lot of fake news and propaganda sponsored by people who wants to forcefully turn history upside down in order to claim a tribe who for the most part is bigger and more sophisticated than them. As a direct descendant of Ogiso dynasty, I have been told to address this burning issue.

To begin, the Ikwerre people have no ancestral link whatsoever with the Yorubas, Binis or were immigrants from the eastern part of the country. Your ancestors are from Idu land, known later as Igodomigodo which is today called Edo State. When they say people migrated from Benin, it should be taken to mean, people who were once under Benin subjugation in their home and people who the Binis displaced from their ancestral land called Idu.

When Prince Orominyan and his associates migrated to Igodomigodo in 12 Century A.D. and created ille ibinu/Benin Kingdom. He brought a very strange culture of human sacrifice which was alien to the aborigines in Igodomigodo. As a matter fact, these ile ife immigrants were not only using human beings as sacrifice for their idols, they were eating human beings. This alien culture infuriated the aborigines and they started migrating towards south, east, west, and north of Igodomigodo. This is how your ancestors and other of our children, example the Urhobos got to where they reside today. Originally, the ancestral home of the Urhobos in Igodomigodo is Ughoton.

I do not make this statement to degrade any tribe, rather to put the record straight as we have noticed, the Binis are working tirelessly to destroy the history of their native land ife and change our Idu history all for political and supremacy reason. Furthermore, this is among the reasons I laughed when I hear some misguided individuals asserts that Oduduwa is from our land Igodomigodo. One of my interview with the aborigines of ife, descendants of Obatala who Oduduwa meant in Uhe/ille ife reviewed to me that human sacrifice was never in their culture prior Oduduwa arrival. In Idu land, we do not have human sacrifice as culture either until Prince Orominyan arrived in Igodomigodo from ife.

So where did Oduduwa got the culture from, this reaffirmed my believe that Oduduwa was a strange guy from the Middle East as propagated by Yoruba historians. Below are some documents to prove what happened in respect to human sacrifice in Benin Kingdom. Lastly, I urge the Ikwerres to remain calm, be proud of your language and culture. Celebrate your distinct ethnic nationality, and you do not have to be people you are better than in all ramification.

Countering baseless fallacy with another baseless fallacy. Vilifying the Yorubas, then later vilifying the Arabs. In Okada camp, we were told the Yorubas originated from benin. Everyone is creating false stories so as to claim superiority over the other. I couldn't care less about any of them though

The Yorubas never originate from Igodomigodo.

An ife prince migrated to Igodomigodo and founded Ille Ibinu.

We don't know Yoruba people before and we have no link with them except Orominyan descendants living in Benin city

Legend has it that the Ikwerre people denounced being Igbo because of the fright of being killed during the civil war by the Nigerians.

The civil war happened yesterday

Ikwerre has no link with the Igbos until 16 century when the white men started bringing Igbo labourers from the east to work in Ikwerre land.

Seriously, if you understood what I said you wouldn't have bothered with this comment. I couldn't care less. The part where I said the Yorubas originated from benin is to point out the siliness in all these stories. Some Yorubas claim it is the other way round, that the benins originated from the Yorubas. All these tales are just so one can claim superiority over the other.

If U are not ashamed to post this ur nonsence postulations as history, then U need serious deliverance. Nonsence and rubbish history. It sounds hilarious when some Ikwerres deny being Igbos. I have not seen any difference between Ikwerres and Igbos. Even Amechi has been sounding it clear that as an Ikwerre man, he is of Igbo heritage and therefore Igbo.

In 16 century, the white men hired many Igbo labourers in the south east to work in Ikwerre land. During the eastern region government the Igbos were dominating Ikwerres in Ph, started changing names of their villages and streets to Igbo names.

In the civil war, the Igbos almost obliterate the Ikwerres, just to claim their land. Elders in Ikwerre who are above 50 and 60 years would understand what am saying. It was the Nigeria soldiers that saved Ikwerre people.

After the civil, and a new state state was created by Gowon, the Ikwerre people started changing the names of their streets back to its original.

We know our history and the history of Idu children worldwide.

I have heard many meetings with elders in Ikwerre with respect to this topic. The Ikwerre knows where their ancestors migrated from.

Ikwerres don't hate Igbo

You can't chose your origin just because you want to please people. The Ikwerres are not Igbo, that is the truth.
You can chose your friends but you cant chose who you are related to. The Ikwerres are Idu children from Igodomigodo.

I myself typing here do not hate the Igbo either. Majority of the Igbos migrated from our clans in Idu land as well and until they trace their root back home and stop fooling themselves that they are Jews. We will never take you people serious.
