The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has threatened to embark on another strike action barely months after the resumption from the last strike which lasted for 10 months. In a statement from the academic body on Sunday, March 14, Chairman of the University of Ibadan ASUU chapter, Prof. Ayo Akinwole, said that the Federal Government is to be blamed for not fulfilling its end of the bargain. According to Prof. Akinwole, the Federal Government failed to fulfill the payment of salaries, including December 2020 salaries of some lecturers up to date.
