BECOME A MAXIMIZER
There is no one who succeeds in life without overcoming optimal challenges and difficulties.

Many people have a misconception that those who succeed in ministry do so without any difficulties and challenges.

To succeed in life and ministry you have to become a MAXIMIZER. A maximizer is a person who have made a choice to be disciplined, approach life with a positive, progressive, persistent attitude. Doing so allows one to overcome handicaps, hardships, and setbacks without bitterness.

Anyone who have really stayed in London before will tell you that a meeting place for a church is one of the biggest challenges in ministry even till date.

At the initial stage of my ministry growth was not coming and that was around 2000-2003 in London. The church was not growing, things were stagnant and difficult.

Several things happened and the church started growing. Things started working and I was very happy. We got a meeting place of our own and decorated it beautifully.

I mistakenly invited a prophet to come speak for me and this prophet scattered the church. That was when I came to ground zero and have to cry out for help. We lost the building because we couldn’t pay.

I tried and by the grace of God I bounced back again.

Along the line we got a new place at Forest Hill for church. This building was a warehouse and we invested a lot of money to rennovate it. At that time I was on radio daily preaching so crowd started coming to the church.

One friday I did a night of SUCCESS & DELIVERANCE. A lady who came for the programme instead of putting her car gear on reverse she put it on drive and drove into the opposite building of our church and broke the entire building down.

That same week we were asked to vacate our newly decorated building. What a shock again. This time we moved into a hotel temporaly looking for a new place of worship. We were in that hotel for couple of months in a place called Crystal Palace.

Then we found a place at Mulberry Business Center in Canada Water. I was really excited. It was at that place we were sitting 250 to 300 people on a sunday.

Then from no where the owners of the place came with a notice that all churches occupying their spaces must move out because they have gotten planning permission to build flats. There were about 18 churches there so we all moved.

It was at this stage I also found a new place in Croydon and have to move the church from Canada Water to Croydon. Because I was a MAXIMIZER I was always pushing forward and not allowing any situation to stop me.

It was during this time my colleagues gave me a nick name “THE POP CORN PASTOR” because you try to stop me here by the time you realise I pop up from a different location.

Hear this, every man and his own battle. Never let the battles of life and ministry kill your fire.

A maximizer doesnt know how to quit. A maximizer wins with the little resources they have. A maximizer always rises again when life pushes them to the ground. A maximizer learn to win no matter their circumstances.

Your current position and situation can never be the reason why things are not working.

You can win with the 3 members you have. You can rise and build again no matter where you are. Just make a decision to become a MAXIMIZER.

Don’t allow life to make you a CRITICIZER, A TRAUMATICIZER, A VICTIMIZER BUT RATHER A MAXIMIZER.

Shake yourself. Gain your confidence back, Release your faith and BECOME A MAXIMIZER.

Let me quote WINSTON CHURCHILL…he said “Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm”.
