what should I do next?

This profession is not for everybody. It's meant for determined minds and hardworking intelligent people. It's a job of either YES or NO nothing in between. At first, it may seems hard, but with a good mentor, you get to learn it easily.

Most Expatriates working in Nigeria are Automation Engineers. An Automation Engineer can make or mar a whole factory or industry. Hence their pay is always very high in hundreds of thousands.
Anywhere you're employed as automation engineer and you know what you're doing, they hardly let you go, they provide all that are necessary to make you comfortable

The believe in this country among young graduate is that there is no job.
There are jobs everywhere for you to do but what's lacking is the skill.
Job is all about problem solving and there are numerous problems awaiting solutions in this country.
The question is: what solution to a problem can you render?
In an industry for example, there are a lot of measuring systems not giving accurate measurement. Somebody is needed to ensure the system works fine. Can you offer simple CALIBRATION? The job is there but you lack the skill.
In another scenario, a production line stop producing because an electronics system failed. The failure could be as a result of collapsed capacitor. Now, the factory is not working and somebody is needed to fix the problem, the question still remains: an Elect/Elect engineer, do you have the skill to solve this problem?

I can go on and on. The job is there but the skill is lacking.

This is another opportunity to acquire such relevant skills
