Hello Nairaland, I need an Urgent Response on this ..Please Help.


What exactly is PND ,Post No Debit ?

A seller is asking that Buyer should go to His Bank and Raise PND ..Post No Debit in Sellers Bank Details and Name .


Is that Possible ?

The Seller says Once he Sees That ,He would be sure that Truly the Buyer has the Funds Capability and he would send His Items to Buyer .

Seller says he needs that .


In case he sellers Fails to send Items ,Buyer Can Reverse His Funds Back .

My question again is that ,Does PND Means that someone can go to His Bank to Instruct that a Certain amount of money be Transfered into another Person's Account and be Put on Hold ? PND ..So the receiver cannot Withdraw until deal is done ..

And if deals fails ,Sender of the funds Can instruct his Bank to reverse it since it's on Hold.

Does this Exist .

I asked someone he says Money sents into another Person's account is gone and can never be put on Pending .

Please can anyone please explain .

If your account is on pnd, I billion can enter but 1 Kobo cannot leave until you resolve why the pnd was placed. Or maybe there are proceeds from a heinous crime traced onto your bank account

U can't reverse it.....

Seller is licky trying to pretend that the PND will make u comfortable in sending him the money..since he's claiming u can reverse u funds after sending it to him

For starters. PND can be placed in an account whether there is funds there or not....so i dont get how this will show availability of funds

Mayb he wants u to place "hold" on the specific amount that's the value of the goods u want to to buy from him... Hold is used to secure an amount from being taken out of account.....( Its what jappa lenders use when they lend proof of funds to the borrow so the borrower can't runaway with their funds.... This may work if u guys use the same bank and he has an internal person....


It could also be that he wants a "debit order" instruction .... more like a postdated instruction to credit him at a later time....If it's this one...U are more at risk..
