I am speechless to behold such bruises she encountered. My question is this: why would your mother lent money to a known person in the community, someone who even own a hotel? Some people are heartless to the extent that when you borrow them money, you fight to recover the money. And you mentioned that she was also bleeding from her private part, are you sure he didn't rape her before inflicting injury on her. I don't have any advice on how to go about this case. I pray that your mother recovers and regains her health.

Hello everyone, I got a call from a man in the Village (Elele, Rivers State) on Tuesday night, that we should look for a way to come and carry our mother as she has slumped and was rushed to a hospital, where she was in coma.

He explained to me that my mother went to demand for the payment of the debt the man is owing her and he angrily beat her up, he stripped her , tore her clothes, her underwear was torn too. I’m literally crying as I type this. Everyone that tried to stop him he chased with the machete. Now my dad is late , else he won’t have tried this.

I am in Lagos so I’ve not seen her my sister that was able to travel to Elele to see her sent me the pictures.

She is out of coma now, but still unable to sit or stand or talk. We also noticed she is bleeding from her private part.

We arrested the evil man with the Elele police but the community Igwe bailed him, he is a known person in the community and owns a hotel there.

I really want this man to receive this level of Physical pain or more, because my mum almost lost her life.

I don’t know what to do or how to go about getting justice for her.

We are at military hospital port harcourt now.

I would advise you remove his name and number from here. He could use this against you. Be discreet about your next move and make sure you take legal steps. Don't do anything extra legal as it seems he is more brutish and dangerous.

Don't take some of these advices telling you to mobilise boys to beat him up..

Get a sound legal advice first and see if you can get an NGO support. Then file a petition to the Area Commander where this happened and copy the Gender Desk Unit of the State Police Command.

I'm so sorry that this happened to your mother.

Yooo! I'm against jungle justice but with situations like this I will gladly support, especially knowing how useless Nigerian laws can be. Someone who had the audacity to batter or nearly kill another and somebody's mama at that (whom the person is owing money ooo) should face the full wrath of the law. Do whatever you must to get justice for your mom.
