With Chapter 5 Season 2 ultimately coming to an end on May 23, speculations have been rising about what Epic Games has in store for Fortnite’s next season.

Chapter 5 Season 1 concluded with its Titan Hand and Earthquake event that captivated players with its near-impossible to break Pandora’s Box. Epic has now launched a similar build-up event codenamed “SuperSport” onto the Battle Royale island to lead into Chapter 5 Season 3.

The Chapter 5 Season 3 build-up event started on May 13, 2024, at 11am ET / 8am PT / 4pm BST.

It is unknown exactly how long the event will last for, but it is expected to carry on till Chapter 5 Season 3 begins on May 23.

Chapter 5 Season 3’s in-game build-up event to Chapter 5 Season 3 is themed around the actions of the enormous statue on top of the mountain at the Mount Olympus POI.

It has been following the pattern of last season, in that as time goes on more gradual changes and actions have appeared on the map. Stage 1 saw the light rays above the monumental statue turn blue and storm clouds appear.

By Stage 3, the statue’s eyes have started to glow blue, the clouds have turned darker, and at every stage after, a series of lightning bolts have struck. However, on the final stage so far, Stage 5, the statue was hit with a lightning bolt, as its eyes glowed even more and the lightning surged around the sword.

Considering Mount Olympus is home to the Greek god NPC Zeus added in Season 2, it makes it a fitting stage for such an event.
