Just make sure you have enough LPG gas in your gas bottle to get you through the next cookout. You wouldn't want to get cut-off during cooking or get disappointed at late night.

Not all LPG regulators comes with gas level gauge/meter, which means you will have to find some other way to tell how much LPG gas is left in the gas bottle. Here are three simple ways for you to do just that:

1. The Use Of Warm Water

This simple trick to determine how much LPG gas is left in your cylinder bottle, is performed like this:

i. Fill a small bucket warm to hot tap water.

ii. Pour the water down the side of the gas cylinder.

iii. Run your hand along the side of the cylinder bottle and feel for a cool spot.

The top of the cool spot is the fill LEVEL of the gas bottle. It's cool because liquid LPG inside the gas bottle absorbs heat around it surroundings, some of the liquid LPG then boils to produce vapour. Heat is needed to convert the liquid to vapour (known as the Latent Heat Of Vaporization). This explains why the gas bottle feel cold when touched and why if there is a high heat, water or ice may appear on the gas bottle. Do not use boiling water, carefully slowly pour the hot water down the one side of the container. A line of condensation may appear, indicating the gas level. If not, wait a few seconds and then run your hand down the same side of the gas bottle, where you poured the hot water.

2. Weigh The Gas Cylinder Bottle:

An alternative way is to scale the gas bottle. The Tare (empty) weight of the bottle is stamped on the neck ring. The difference between the scale reading and the Tare weight should indicate approximately how much gas remains in the tank. You can basically find all the information you need on the neck ring handle - the Water Capacity (WC), Tare Weight (TW) and LPG Worth (LW).

3. Use a gas regulator

This process is very easy and stress-free, READ FULL ARTICLE HERE 👇 👇
