SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, verified the tragic incident of a man passing away while watching a football match at a beer parlor in Lagos, as reported to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday. The beer parlor owner, whose name remains undisclosed, promptly reported the incident to the Elere Police Division on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. The man, estimated to be in his 50s, arrived at the beer parlor on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway around 6:15 p.m., where he engaged in watching television with other customers as they enjoyed their drinks. Upon noticing the man unresponsive in his chair, it was evident that he had passed away, prompting the arrival of detectives from the division, who confirmed the absence of any signs of violence on his body. The deceased's body has been transferred to the Mainland General Hospital Mortuary in Yaba for an autopsy, while ongoing efforts are being made to locate his family.
