A few years ago, before/after the crash of the capital market, we had good Nigerian websites providing real-time data and tools for tracking, demo-trading and analyzing the stock market.. I mean very good ones.

Sites like proshareng, nigeriansecurities.com , cashcraft.com and even stockmarketnigeria.com etc were very useful.

Among all, was nigeriansecurities.com(NS) stood out in terms of technical analytical tools. The site was rich with very practical and useful tools like charts, indicators, trial trading, portfolio management tools and lots more. In fact, it had the best daily stock quotes for traders with deep insight of technical analyses.

Unfortunately, the site(NS) is no more.

I wish to use this medium to ask NLers to suggest any better alternatives.

Easykobo.com is fair but cannot be compared to NS. A screenshot of nigeriansecurities.com(NS) is posted below.

Is there any Nigerian website for effectively analyzing the Nigerian stock market?

I use the bloomberg app on my blackberry to keep an eye on my stock movements, bought a lot like NEM and co last year, loving the Green I see right now.
Stockmarketnigeria(owned by Seun who owns Nairaland) is also great.

Wish everyone of you good luck. I am never going to be carried away by the market again. Even if it's gaining 500% in a month. The crash doesn't announce itself. It starts with three consecutive days loss (red) then you see a gain on your share a day (in between) then next days of losses, just like that, and you find yourself in the mud. Till you will be forced to sell at a huge loss or leave it to crash completely while hoping they rise again before you grow grey hair.

If you MUST invest there, don't be carried away by speculations, look at financial performance of the company. But I warn again: Use your money for estate (land, etc).

Those that sold at N2.13, probably lost money, while the buyers are the real traders. They are the ones currently selling at N7.80.

The crash of 2008/2009 took a lot of people unawares. After 4 yrs, the speculations and greed has started to inflate the NSE All share index again.
Buy at your own risk.

Sanusi Lamido Killed the Nigerian stock exchange, because banking stock was the most active stock and since sanusi liquidated some Banks out of vendetta and envy it has never been the same .

Killed Oceanic and intercontinental just because the MDs were not submissive to him and the two bank also for first time beat 1stBank in profit and balance sheet under Sanusi as MD in 2008.

There was Global recession which has a domino effect on all economies, all other countries were bailing out the banking sector but Sanusi used it to deal with his enemies and the investing public.

I will never forgive sanusi and will never trust the NSE again for losing over 10 million Naira

Unfortunately, the site(NS) is no more.

I'm not suprised that the site is no more as in hindsight it was a case of "Owo Abu no fin se Abu Lalejo" (A case of using Abu's money to Entertain Abu whilst deceiving Abu that the entertainmemt money is not his but your own profits). Their site was built from various income streams they pulled in by peddling their expertise as top consultants in what turned out to be a scam riddled stock market.

If their advice was impartial and not riddled with insider dealing and mass deception then their site will still be up today. They are even worse than the now defunct "wonder bank pyramid schemes" since with the wonder banks you always had doubts at the back of your mind but with the stock market, no one expected outright price manipulations and gross insider dealing from the head of the Stock Exchange Ndidi Okereke and her gang of collaborating "Overdraft billionaires".

Before the bubble burst and the resulting share price crash with some losing 80% of their value in 1 year, prices were unsustainably high with some people tripling their money but later losing most of their paper wealth.

In the boom which was a false bubble buoyed by insider dealing specifically engineered to suit the machinations of our greedy billionaires nobody remembered that "normal" share dealing is a long term investment with an outlook of holding stock for 25yrs or more in a "well diversified" portfolio and "later" benefitting from a) Long term capital appreciation and b) the modest dividends given ONLY if the company makes a "profit".

Also no one remembered that according to the Efficient Market Hypothesis, "No One can beat the market in an Efficient Market" as the price at any time will always reflect ALL publicly known information.

The only way you can beat the market is illegally by indulging in insider dealing which carries long prison terms except in Nigeria where the perpetrators of the scam on the poor masses are free to continue enjoying thier ill gotten billions in complete freedom.

These crooks (i.e the Nigerian Elite) behind the scenes manipulated the prices in any direction they wanted and when the 170 million masses by power of the multiplier effect of the numbers game follow the direction of their price fix, these crooks quickly and "quietly" sell and rake in their profits and because the numbers they are selling are so huge, prices will eventually fall due to over supply but they have sold at the top and made their billions over and over again from the masses misfortune.

The masses loss was their own gain. We were their puppets
