US artists tour around the country, going from one state to the other. The gospel singers in that country are not left out. When they plan their music tour. They move into all the states in the country, promoting their song and culture.

This kind of thing doesn't happen in Nigeria, even though we have big and world recognised artists. For the fact that a Nigerian can win the Grammy award tells how big this country is in the entertainment industry.
This artist don't tour states like their USA counterpart do. Rather, they stiff their neck into other countries, hosting shows in different states in the US, UK, Ghana, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, etc... Yes, this is welcomed, but they should at least do it in their country before moving abroad.

Some say it's because Nigerians don't pay for shows, but I see this to be very laughable. If Nigerians don't pay for live shows, is it Tanzania that will now pay?

In terms of culture differences, it doesn't matter because music is a universal language. Someone in far away Sokoto will surly vibe to Peru because of the melody and popularity.

>Not doing tours will make some people not to ever see their favourite artist live.
>This should be a good way to promote tolerance among different tribes in this country.
>Doing this will help upcoming artists to succeed easily (because the platform is already there)
>It will reduce ethnic-hate

They actually do tour the country. Maybe you don't know about it.

It's actually a different scene here. Instead of using the word "touring" it's actually called, "going to shows". A promoter might call olamide or another popping rave for a two month tour around the country. Going to different cities to shows organized by the promoter. This is usually done around that November to December to January time for maximum profit.

I'm sure you might have heard about artistes going on campus tours. Visiting different tertiary institutions and all.

And going to other countries are way profitable than doing tours in this country.

And there's the security concerns too. Being that we are in perilous times at the moment in this country.

There's insecurity, but this exaggeration is not true and won't help this country. I have been living in the southeast like forever, but I have never set my eyes on one IPOB member. But people report it as If they have killed everyone here.

Seriously I wonder too and it's Google search that led me here. Well I think it's because of the security challenges and this country isn't well organized for that kind of things....
