My phone fell into water and stopped working. I had to download WhatsApp in my old phone temporarily. Eventually I fixed my phone but didn't know I am supposed to delete the temporary WhatsApp. This led to the ban and now I can't access my account. I don't want to change my WhatsApp number because it has gone far and wide with so many important international cantacts. Gurus in the house what can I do to recover my account or at least maintain my popular number on Whatsapp.

Email WhatsApp support. Explain your situation and they will look into it. Most times it’s just their AI that is misbehaving. Had mine banned too for no just reason but it was reactivated after the email to WhatsApp support
