wolement: Probably a 60+ years old man getting the bright ideas after reading an obsolete textbooks written in the 90's PayPal alone has confiscated at least a billion dollars of Nigerian and Ghana merchants money with impunity. Yet our useless government is seeking for more ways to restrict her citizens online (in the prime of the AI revolution). 2 Likes |

Nigeria is very unfortunate to have this type of government, very, very unfortunate. What are you regulating in IT?. You cannot develop anything that will benefit humanity only to look for avenue to frustrate the people and extort from them in the name of paying annual registration fees of #10m or above 3 Likes 1 Share |

Lol IT has become very broad but core IT profession is quite clear and known. That said u cannot regulated or registere all areas of IT sadly. it is impossible especially the areas closely related to social media, crypto which are not core IT |

They just want to collect money for registration. In IT you can't quack your way around it, it's either you have the skills or you don't. 3 Likes |

These clueless people need to understand that IT is just like sports such as Football, Basketball, Golf etc. Anyone can train for it but mastery and skill level are the ultimate separators. This field is self regulated. 3 Likes |

This has to be one of the vaguest posts I have ever read. So much said with nothing being said. IT is a progressive field, people literally use Google and stack overflow to firm up on concepts they don't yet know, even professionals, how then do you identify who's a quack and who's not. The most import concept in IT is for your code to work and achieve the desired outcomes. Wearing a tie and registering with a fancy agency doesn't guarantee that result. 1 Like |

EleventhWeirdo:Trying to supposed regulate IT in Nigeria is a joke. First of all , we don't invent anything in Nigeria, we just play with established standards. Trying to regulate IT in Nigeria is like trying to regulate the entrepreneurial and creative spirit. You cannot, and should not even try it. IT is an area that requires absolute and unfettered freedom for creativity and innovation. Is should not be AGBERO-nized. 3 Likes |
