The God of Israel put a seal on His Prophets and visions about 1900 Years ago - Daniel 9 vs 24 - at the close of His Last Days. We know this to be a fact because Jesus Christ proclaimed that John the Baptist was the last of the Prophet who came teaching the Old Covenant to the people of Israel. He, Jesus Christ, being the Messiah, was the last one anointed by His Father as a Prophet to His people, Israel, a message that was prophesied by the Prophets before Him beginning with David. undecided

This man claims his father was a prophet to the God of Israel. But the God of Israel is known to have instead put a seal on His system of Prophet, including visions, from almost 2000 years ago. This can only mean this man is a liar and should not either be in jail for scamming people or in an asylum where his particular confusion might be corrected. lipsrsealed

This is Daniel 9 : 24

Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

I now see what is confusing you about prophecy and prophets.

The phrase "the vision and prophecy" is referring to a single vision and prophecy which was given from chapter 25.

Daniel 9:25-27
[25]Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

[26]And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

[27]And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

I am afraid you are reading these things upside down... the vision and Prophets referred to instead come from what is contained in the Law of Moses which Daniel mentioned in that same Chapter you quoted from....
3 Then I turned to the Lord God. I prayed to him and asked him for help. I did not eat any food. I put ashes on my head and put on the clothes that showed I was sad.
4 I prayed to the Lord my God and told him about all my sins. I said, “Lord, you are a great and awesome God. You keep your agreement of love and kindness with people who love you. You keep your agreement with the people who obey your commands.
5 “But we have sinned. We have done wrong. We have done evil things. We turned against you. We turned away from your commands and good decisions. 6 The prophets were your servants. They spoke for you to our kings, to our leaders, to our fathers, and to the common people in our country. But we did not listen to them.
7 “Lord, you are innocent, and the shame belongs to us, even now. Shame belongs to the people from Judah and Jerusalem, and to all the people of Israel, to those who are near and to those you scattered among many nations. They should be ashamed of all the evil things they did against you.
8 “Lord, we should all be ashamed. All our kings and leaders should be ashamed. Our ancestors should be ashamed, because we sinned against you.
9 “But, Lord our God, you are kind and forgiving, even though we rebelled against you.
10 We have not obeyed the Lord our God. He used his servants, the prophets, and gave us laws, but we have not obeyed his laws.
11 All the people of Israel disobeyed your teachings and turned away from you. They did not listen to you. We sinned, so you did what you promised to do. All the curses and promises[c] in the Law of Moses, your servant, happened to us.
12 “God said those things would happen to us and our leaders, and he made them happen. He made terrible things happen to us. No other city suffered the way Jerusalem suffered.
13 All those terrible things happened to us. This happened just as it is written in the Law of Moses, but we still have not asked the Lord our God for help. We still have not stopped sinning. We still do not pay attention to your truth, Lord.
14 The Lord kept the terrible things ready for us—he made them happen to us. The Lord our God did this because he is fair in everything he does. But we still have not listened to him.
15 “Lord our God, you used your power and brought us out of Egypt. We are your people. You are famous because of that, even today. We have sinned and done terrible things. 16 Lord, we and our ancestors sinned against you, so your people and your city became a disgrace to everyone around us. You do so many good things, so stop being angry at Jerusalem, your city, your holy mountain.
17 Now, our God, hear your servant’s prayer. Listen to my prayer for mercy. For your own sake, do good things for your holy place.[d]
18 My God, listen to me! Open your eyes and see all the terrible things that have happened to us. See what has happened to the city that is called by your name. I am not saying we are good people. That is not why I am asking these things. I am asking these things because I know you are kind.
19 Lord, listen to me! Forgive us! Lord, pay attention, and then do something! Don’t wait! Do something now! Do it for your own good! My God, do something now, for your city and your people who are called by your name.” - Daniel 9 vs 3 - 19
Go back through the Law of Moses, where it all begins to understand what Daniel is saying here and why the seal on the visions and prophets is of the Law and not of your ideas regarding one aspect of the vision. undecided

Daniel said that prayer to request God stay His hand against the Judeans. And God answered Him with a message telling Him that the Last Days for the Nation of Judah were delayed by Him —YHWH—for about 600 years so that all which was outlined would be accomplished. undecided

Most prophet prayes this pattern of prayer. They pray to confess their own sins and that of their forefathers.

Prophecy is different from the prophet.

Prophecy is telling the future

Prophet is the person telling it

I have a question.

Did this your restriction over prophecy also applied to Jesus too?

Daniel 9:23
[23]At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider

Daniel didn't pray to God to stay his hand but to fulfill his promise as prophesied by Jeremiah but God wasn't yet done with his plan as prophesied by Daniel.

Daniel 9:2-3
[2]In the first year of his reign [b]I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.

[3]And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:

If the God of Israel made a note to differentiate them then clearly they are different. undecided

That is correct. That which is Truth — and is Everlasting— does include that which even then was to come which, according to Jesus Christ, includes the Kingdom of God and all that pertained to it. undecided

What you are pretty much asking is what the difference is between the "Spirit of Prophesy" which is believed to have been placed by God on those whom He chose as Prophets/messengers whom He then sent out on behalf of the people of Israel(not your churchian idea of prophets), and the Spirit of Truth whom Jesus Christ promised to ask His Father to send to every one of those who are loved by Him? The best approach would be to investigate what the Law says of each one of them then. Are you willing to search through the Law of Moses at least for details regarding the "spirit of Prophecy"? Or is it that you wish for me to do all of the work for you? undecided

So you are saying Abraham who came before the law has the spirit of prophecy which is different from the holy Spirit. But those with the holy Spirit can prophecy but their prophecy can't be call prophecy because the one who gave it to them is not the spirit of prophecy?

1. And it is for this reason that I dislike the use of this term "Spirit of prophecy" as a blanket statement. Yes, Abraham had a different spirit of prophecy than did the prophets of Old. Even the so-called prophets that lived in the land of Judah after the death of Jesus Christ, the one who is in fact the last prophet, also had a different spirit of prophecy than that which the Prophets of Old did. Did, you ever wonder why Paul never needed the warnings to that was given him by the many prophets who approached him on his way to Jerusalem? undecided

2. That depends on your meaning of Prophesy but the fact is, what Jesus Christ instead said of the Holy Spirit is that He would shew the followers that belong to Him of things to come, things that are of Him and those things that are of Jesus Christ are not of this earth and are of the Everlasting Kingdom of God, nothing else. undecided

What people call the spirit of prophecy is the messenger of prophecy that delivers prophecy who is an angel. Abraham didn't have a different spirit of prophecy than any prophet. Jesus didn't have a different spirit of prophecy. All of them had angelic ministration which people call spirit of prophecy.

Why Paul didn't listen to the prophecy was because he had the holy Spirit. Prophecy most times are abiquious. That is while people still argue about bible prophecies of more than 2000 years.

This is where the holy Spirit comes him. He is called the spirit of truth because he take the same prophecy angels delivered to the prophet and explain it to the prophet or the one who is filled. So Paul knew the exact things that will happen to him and how he can change the outcome through the holy Spirit.

Jesus said all that my father has are mine. The past, the present and the future belongs to Jesus. Everything in heaven and on earth belong to God and therefore belong to Jesus.

People confuse prophecy with sorcery. Jesus said to his disciples, "there are things I wish to tell you but you can't bear it, but when he the spirit of truth is come, he will reveal it to you".

Nothing in this world that didn't come from the spirit world. The prophet is the one who takes those things from the spirit world (kingdom of God) and manifest them to the physical world through his world.

Jesus made an important prayer, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Only the prophet can make this happen.

God reveals to the prophet what He wants, the prophet by instructions speak it into existence.

1. I am not interested in what People say. Rather, I am interested in what is written as the Word of God Himself in these things. According to Scripture, Abraham had something different from that which the Old Prophets of the Old Law, including Jesus Christ had.
▶ The prophethood that was bestowed on Abraham did not come with the stipulation that he had to be of the blood of Jacob to receive it.
▶ In addition, God did not limit the communication between Himself and Abraham to visions and dreams as He did those of the Old Law of Moses in Numbers 12 vs 1-6. undecided

2. Now you are spinning tales that have nothing to do with what is written! I didn't ask you for this at all. I asked you to say only that which is of Scripture. undecided

3. Much of what you typed is based on what are religious assumptions —extra-biblical ideas— which have no place and meaning with the things of God. It is for this reason that in my previous response, I demanded we stick to exactly that which is written in Scripture so that we spare each other these tall tales. undecided

4. That makes no sense at all! That prayer is instead part of what is the Law in the Kingdom of God, and only a Lawgiver, not a prophet, can give such a command to the people.

Look, when you are ready to review what the Old Law says of the prophets of Old vs what the New Law says, not of prophets but of individuals who are followers of Jesus Christ, regarding the difference between the Prophet system and the Spirit of Truth as is written in Scripture, let me know. undecided

You didn't show us scripture as prove that Abraham something different as you claim.

You didn't show us scripture support your claim that prophets of old must come from Jacob.

Samuel and Elisha didn't receive prophecy only from vision or dreams as you claim that all prophets after moses received.

[8]With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?
