My Frustrating Experience With Piggyvest Today by Nadingo: 7:35pm On Apr 29
Earlier today, I had a frustrating ordeal with Piggyvest that has left me questioning the integrity of the platform. I tried to withdraw N70,600 from my Piggy Flex account, which had just matured from a 3month Safelock agreement. With an urgent need to pay my son's school fees, I expected a smooth transaction. However, that wasn't the case.

To my dismay, I encountered an error message when attempting to withdraw to my PocketApp. Undeterred, I tried again, this time opting to withdraw to my Fidelity Bank account. But to my surprise, I was informed that I had already initiated a withdrawal and needed to wait 24 hours before trying again. Frustrated, I reached out to Piggyvest's customer support on Twitter for assistance.

After several exchanges, a representative advised me to update my KYC details. Hoping this would resolve the issue, I promptly tried to do that but was informed my details are up-to-date. I sent them a message to tell them my KYC is up-to-date and after series of back and forth, I was advised to transfer my funds to Piggybank wallet for withdrawal. Little did I know, this would only compound my troubles.

Upon transferring the funds to Piggybank wallet, I was shocked to discover that the next withdrawal date I was given wasn't until December 2024. That if I want to make an instant withdrawal, I would have to forfeit 2.5% of the money. Realizing I had no other option, I reluctantly agreed to forfeit 2.5% of my funds for the immediate withdrawal. But even this proved futile, as I encountered yet another error message during the process. Surprisingly, they have deducted 2.5% of my money.

Angry and confused, I called Piggyvest's customer care line seeking answers. However, instead of assistance, I was met with a dismissive attitude. According to the representative, I was to blame for choosing to use the Piggybank wallet instead of Piggyflex and I should accept the consequences. That they would return my 2.5% when they would, and I should wait another 24hrs before I should restart the withdrawal process (to forfeit yet another 2.5% again).

This entire experience has left me feeling betrayed and cheated. I trusted Piggyvest with my hard-earned money, only to be met with obstacles and indifference when I needed both my money and their assistance.

Opay's Fixed does it better for me. No issues so far and no 2.5% deduction.

Why I didn't do Opay is to avoid temptation because one has the option of breaking it.

It's better to break it and enjoy with peace of mind than not to break it and be in disarray with 2.5% deduction.

You're right. Once I'm able to get my funds out, I'm uninstalling their app.
