1. There are 3 batches (ABC) divided into 6 streams in a year, and there are 6 registration period in every year.
Including uploading of names on portal six times in a year.

2. You can always do revalidation in each batch if you couldn't go with a particular batch. You revalidate with the next batch.

3. Married female PCMs are posted to serve in the state their husband resides after providing all required documents

4. PCM are not allowed to choose state during online registration, NYSC reserves the right to post to wherever they so wish.

5. There is relocation option in camp for those who have medical issues or that Want to relocate on health ground, This is the purpose of medical report, posted to insecure environment or those married but were posted outside husband state of residence.

6. All PCM should note that they are only able to serve if they graduated before the age of 30. Once you are above 30 years before you graduated, you will be exempted.

Mobilization:
What is Mobilization?

In simple terms, this is when you have been cleared in your school and eligible to register for NYSC because once you are done with your school clearance your mobilization has started.

Mobilization is in sections
We have internal mobilization, which starts in your school, your names will be pasted on the SAO notice board or your school will call you back to register for internal mobilization.

SAO means STUDENT AFFAIRS OFFICER

HOW DO I KNOW THAT MY SCHOOL IS DOING INTERNAL MOBILIZATION?*

Most schools announce it, that students should come for their internal mobilization before pasting the names on the notice board .While other schools do it themselves and you just see your names on the notice board. But for you to really know how it works in your school, you will have to get in touch with your institution STUDENTS AFFAIRS OFFICERS

What to do for your name to be added to the NYSC mobilization list

1. Ensure you complete your final clearance with your institution, it's not to sign out...do you clearance!!!

2. Sign up for NYSC at the Directorate of Students’ Affairs in your school.

3. Confirm your name on the senate list before your institution sends it to NYSC.

4. Make sure your name is on the JAMB matriculation list.

*How to calculate your jamb age*

The NYSC age reduction is a scam, a fraudulent scheme that targets individuals who are over the age limit for participating in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program in Nigeria. NYSC calculates your age as thus;
RESULT APPROVAL DATE (AVAILABLE ON YOUR SENATE LIST) - JAMB DOB (AVAILABLE ON YOUR JAMB PROFILE)

For example, your result was approved on the 10/05/2023 by your school senate and your Date of birth DOB on Jamb is 02/03/1995
When you minus both, its around 28 years which still falls below service age.

If you graduate by 30 years or above, you will be exempted from service automatically.
You have to graduate between those ages before you are eligible for service. And if you graduate above that age, you will be exempted automatically and given exemption certificate/ letter .

This is the one that affects most people that after they register, they get exempted via their dashboard.

To know your legal age
The DOB on your jamb is used as your official date of birth not your NIN. The result approval date on your Statement of result is used as your graduation date.

On the other hand, if you graduated within the 18-30 years age bracket, you can never get exemption even if you are 60 years

Mr. Kabril belongs to NYSC 2024 Batch A STREAM 1. He was deployed to Kaduna but he refused to go for the orientation camp. Mr. Kabril is now ready for NYSC and wants to join NYSC 2024 Batch B STREAM 1 all he will need to do is REVALIDATE once the registration portal for Batch B STREAM 1 2024 is opened.

1. Internal mobilization is ongoing in many institutions, including yours. Get in touch with your student affairs officers to get latest updates.

2. ⁠All PCM Registered in Batch A but were shifted to Batch B are to await their call up letter.

3. ⁠There is no date for Batch B online registration yet.

4. ⁠Portal for uploading of NYSC Senate List will open soon.

5. ⁠When doing your internal mobilization, make sure you input the correct details. One error can delay you to wait for months.

6. ⁠Revalidation is for those posted before and they didn't go to camp. Revalidation takes place only when portal for registration is opened.

TIPS TO Guide PCM FOR DATE OF BIRTH (DOB) CORRECTION

ii. The DOB link is active on your dashboard during Online Registration, ensure you make use of it appropriately.

iii. The WAEC Certificate must be equal or more than four (4) years as at the time of graduation.

iv. Do not use another person's WAEC detail to apply, it will be dissaproved.

v. Ensure there is no disparity of names on your WAEC and that of your dashboard.

vi. A notification will be sent to your mail when your application have been processed.

You are expected to login and check your Mobilization status on your dashboard.

vii. If your status did not change, it means you are still exempted and your Exemption Certificate will be processed.

viii. Go to your Institution after three (3) months and collect your Exemption Certificate.

ix. You cannot apply for DOB Correction after Camp Registration.

This is to notify PCM's that addition or removal of names will no longer be allowed on the NYSC portal. Only name at Matriculation is allowed for upload on the NYSC portal by the Corps Producing Institution

However, correction of simple spelling mistakes and names re-arrangement are still allowed on your dashboard

MARRIED PCMs REGISTRATION
Married Female PCMs who want to apply for Concessional Posting based on Marital grounds are to upload the following documents;

i. Marriage Certificate
ii. Newspaper change of name
iii. Identity of Husband ( National ID, International Passport or Driver's Licence )
iv. Evidence of Husband's State of Residence.
v. Letter from Employee/Utility bill.

DATE OF GRADUATION ISSUES
PCM's with discrepancies in their Date of Graduation as uploaded on the NYSC portal and the date on their Statement of Results will not be registered in the Orientation Camp

PCMs should sort out such issues with the Student Affairs Officers (SAO) before reporting to the Camp.

Foreign-trained graduates should enter the exact date of graduation on their certificate during online registration.

1. NYSC online registration starts on the 8th till 16th of June.
2. ⁠Uploading of Senate list online continues till 16th of June.
3. ⁠If you can't find your name on the uploaded list, contact your school to make enquiries why. This probably mean that you will be going with Batch B stream 2.
4. ⁠If you are mobilized but not ready yet, don't bother to register. Register when ever you are ready to go for service. Once you are mobilized, you can register even in 20 years to come and serve.
5. ⁠Get all if your important documents. Check this group previous messages from me, you will see the documents you need for rregistration.
6. ⁠Registration is strictly to be done in an accredited cyber Cafe. There are accredited Cafe in every local govt in Nigeria.

*NYSC camp requirements for registration in CAMP. (Compulsory)*

The documents below are Compulsory (If you arrive in the NYSC camp with none of them, you will not be registered by the camp officials)
*1. YOUR SCHOOL ID/FINAL YEAR ID card*

You need to go with the original and two (2) photocopies. To get a ‘final year ID card’, go to the Directorate of Students’ Affairs in your school, and a request for one. NYSC also accepts School ID Card instead of final year ID card. But will not accept departmental ID card.

*2. Statement of result (B. SC or HND)*

You need to go with the original and four (4) photocopies of your Degree or HND statement of result. If you have the original certificate itself, better. But if you don’t, just go with the statement of result.

If you do not have your statement of result, do not go to the NYSC camp. For foreign trained graduates, you must present the original certificate itself.

Besides that, persons who graduated from Polytechnic within Nigeria should go with both ND and HND statement of results.

Medical Doctors, Pharmacists, Optometrists or other medical profession, should go to camp along with the original of registration certificate with the Nigerian Medical Council, Pharmacist Board or Optometrist Registration Council and evidence of completion of houseman-ship or internship.

Things listed below are not compulsorily needed in NYSC camp but they are essential for personal comforts.

If you really want to enjoy NYSC camp, consider going to camp with things listed below;

*8. White round-necked T-shirts*

This outfit is worn everyday throughout the 21-days stay in the NYSC camp. NYSC will give you only 2, but these two are of poor quality and may not size you. Also, you may not enjoy wearing only 2 shirts for 3 weeks in camp that you will stay in camp.

*9. White shorts*

NYSC will also give you 2 pairs of shorts, but of poor quality and may not size you. You need like extra pairs so as not to be stranded if it tears.

*10. White tennis shoes & white socks*

NYSC will provide this, but it’s advisable you get an extra one pair for yourself.

*11. Tea or beverages*

This is very important for those who would not like the camp watery tea. Some people collect camp tea and then add some spoons from their own tea to make it tick.

*12. Toiletries*

Antiseptics, insecticides, towel, sanitary pads, pampas, etc. These are essential to help protect you from infections and skin infections.

*13. Mosquitoes Net is very important in NYSC camp*

This is very important, I know you wouldn’t like to go to camp and fall sick. Mosquitoes net will protect you from mosquitoes and other camp insects. Take one net with you and rope to tie it to your bunk.

*14. You need Some cash in NYSC camp*

You need to go to camp with some cash, there are too many things that cost money in camp. Things like, food, charging phone, taking pictures, laundries, etc.

Also, go with at least N20,000, and also with your ATM card, because there are ATMs in some camp.

*14. Torchlight in NYSC camp*

Don’t say you will use your phone touch! Torchlight is important; make sure you buy rechargeable ones.

*15. You will need Waist Pouch in NYSC camp*

Waste bag or pouch is essential. This will serve as your money keeper, and also as a locker for important items such as phones, money, ID card, keys, ATM cards, and more.

*16. Padlocks* is important in NYSC camp
You need a padlock to lock your boxes and bags to prevent camp thieves from gaining access to your properties.

There are many people who lost many valuable things to the NYSC camp thieves. I know you wouldn’t want to fall a victim.

*17.Your phone and power bank in NYSC camp*

This is important for communication. If you don’t have a power bank or cell phone, please get one.

*NYSC camp requirements (Essential)*

Things listed below are not compulsorily needed in NYSC camp but they are essential for personal comforts.

If you really want to enjoy NYSC camp, consider going to camp with things listed below;

*8. White round-necked T-shirts*

This outfit is worn everyday throughout the 21-days stay in the NYSC camp. NYSC will give you only 2, but these two are of poor quality and may not size you. Also, you may not enjoy wearing only 2 shirts for 3 weeks in camp that you will stay in camp.

*9. White shorts*

NYSC will also give you 2 pairs of shorts, but of poor quality and may not size you. You need like extra pairs so as not to be stranded if it tears.

*10. White tennis shoes & white socks*

NYSC will provide this, but it’s advisable you get an extra one pair for yourself.

*11. Tea or beverages*

This is very important for those who would not like the camp watery tea. Some people collect camp tea and then add some spoons from their own tea to make it tick.

*12. Toiletries*

Antiseptics, insecticides, towel, sanitary pads, pampas, etc. These are essential to help protect you from infections and skin infections.

*13. Mosquitoes Net is very important in NYSC camp*

This is very important, I know you wouldn’t like to go to camp and fall sick. Mosquitoes net will protect you from mosquitoes and other camp insects. Take one net with you and rope to tie it to your bunk.

*14. You need Some cash in NYSC camp*

You need to go to camp with some cash, there are too many things that cost money in camp. Things like, food, charging phone, taking pictures, laundries, etc.

Also, go with at least N20,000, and also with your ATM card, because there are ATMs in some camp.

*14. Torchlight in NYSC camp*

Don’t say you will use your phone touch! Torchlight is important; make sure you buy rechargeable ones.

*15. You will need Waist Pouch in NYSC camp*

Waste bag or pouch is essential. This will serve as your money keeper, and also as a locker for important items such as phones, money, ID card, keys, ATM cards, and more.

*16. Padlocks* is important in NYSC camp
You need a padlock to lock your boxes and bags to prevent camp thieves from gaining access to your properties.

There are many people who lost many valuable things to the NYSC camp thieves. I know you wouldn’t want to fall a victim.

*17.Your phone and power bank in NYSC camp*

This is important for communication. If you don’t have a power bank or cell phone, please get one.

*18. Other essential things need in NYSC camp*

You can buy other things like bed sheets, pillow, bucket and other big things from mammy market (camp market) to avoid overloading yourself.

GENERAL NOTICE
i. PCMs should register with only NYSC accredited cybercafé operators

ii. Do not thumbprint by proxy (meaning don't allow someone else to thumbprint for you).

GENDER AND TITLE MISTAKE ON YOUR PORTAL

TIPS TO Guide PCM FOR DATE OF BIRTH (DOB) CORRECTION
i. Apply for Date of Birth Correction on your dashboard with WAEC. Get WAEC Verification pin.

ii. The DOB link is active on your dashboard during Online Registration, ensure you make use of it appropriately.

iii. The WAEC Certificate must be equal or more than four (4) years as at the time of graduation.

iv. Do not use another person's WAEC detail to apply, it will be dissaproved.

v. Ensure there is no disparity of names on your WAEC and that of your dashboard.

vi. A notification will be sent to your mail when your application have been processed.

You are expected to login and check your Mobilization status on your dashboard.

vii. If your status did not change, it means you are still exempted and your Exemption Certificate will be processed.

viii. Go to your Institution after three (3) months and collect your Exemption Certificate.

ix. You cannot apply for DOB Correction after Camp Registration.

PROCEDURE TO APPLY FOR CORRECTION OF DATE OF BIRTH
i. Get 19 or 20 digits WAEC Verification Pin from any First Bank branch.

ii. Login to your Dashboard with your Username and Password.

iii. Click on the Date of Birth link.
Enter WAEC Verification Pin, select WAEC Type, Year of Exam and enter your Examination Number.

iv. Click on Verify button
Click SUBMIT or CANCEL

i. Correction of Course of Study
ii. Correction of Qualification
iii. Correction of Class of Degree

Your SAO(Student Affairs Officer) will treat the request online

NAME DISCREPANCY
This is to notify PCM's that addition or removal of names will no longer be allowed on the NYSC portal. Only name at Matriculation is allowed for upload on the NYSC portal by the Corps Producing Institution

However, correction of simple spelling mistakes and names re-arrangement are still allowed on your dashboard

7.

MARRIED PCMs REGISTRATION
Married Female PCMs who want to apply for Concessional Posting based on Marital grounds are to upload the following documents;

i. Marriage Certificate
ii. Newspaper change of name
iii. Identity of Husband ( National ID, International Passport or Driver's Licence )
iv. Evidence of Husband's State of Residence.
v. Letter from Employee/Utility bill.

DATE OF GRADUATION ISSUES
PCM's with discrepancies in their Date of Graduation as uploaded on the NYSC portal and the date on their Statement of Results will not be registered in the Orientation Camp

PCMs should sort out such issues with the Student Affairs Officers (SAO) before reporting to the Camp.

Foreign-trained graduates should enter the exact date of graduation on their certificate during online registration.

DATE OF GRADUATION FORMAT
The correct format for Date of Graduation on Statement of Result is
Day/Month/Year

PCM are advised to take note of this

10.

STATE OF ORIGIN ISSUE
The State of Origin of the PCMs used for  NYSC mobilization emanates from the Jamb database. It cannot be changed after registration.

ADDITIONAL
PCM's who are serving in the Armed forces should indicate and upload necessary documents during Online Registration, requirement for exemption include;

i. Enter Service Number
ii. Upload Letter of Enlistment
iii. Upload Introductory letter from the command
iv. Upload Official ID Card

Also note that part-time graduates are to register online so as to enable them print their Exclusion Letter on their dashboard.

Please Take note!!!

1. Registration portal will open on the 8th of June.

2. Some school may delay in uploading senate list and submitting the hard copy, but make sure you are in contact with your institution through SAO.

3. Registration will last for 9 days (as scheduled on the timetable) and there is no extension of registration date.

4. Revalidation is for those that have registered with Batch A or previous batch but are now ready to go to camp. You can do it on your mobile phone too by yourself *(also it's automatic*

5. If you didn't report to a state because its far, when you revalidate, there are 95% chances it will be another state.

6. When doing registration in Accredited cyber cafe, make sure to look at all information you are providing for registration carefully. Don't later blame cyber cafe man for your own errors.

7. Foreign PCM and Married Female PCM are to upload all necessary documents, if not, you won't be verified as foreign PCM or posted to your husband state as married female PCM

8. For your graduation date, check the date on your senate list and statement very well before you make errors.

9. If you have spelling error in your name or arrangement issue, wait to register first, then apply for correction/rearrangement of name.
