Funds Transfer Officer

Role Purpose:
Actively engage in activities and processes, necessary to ensure timely processing of Naira payment inflows received from customers, to enhance customer satisfaction thereby achieving set objectives while upholding strict applications of all control procedures.

Location: Lagos

The ideal candidate must have a degree in Accounting or Banking and Finance with at least 3-5 years core commercial banking FTO and Reconciliation experience.
Key Responsibilities:

• Handle payment verification and order placement for all eligible and validated customers.
• Prepare details of the total naira cover for the total number of orders placed by customers. (i.e., Remittance)
• Prepare refund schedule by collating Naira inflow of all unused funds (such as: error credit, invalid narration, underpayment overpayment multiple payments, no forms, no shows etc.)
• Prepare rollover for market days where applicable and file accordingly.
• Calculate and prepare details of stock to be received.
• Handle all payments related enquiries and queries in an effective and timely manner. Unresolved queries should be escalated appropriately to Head Outsourcing.
• All Identified payments related procedural breach, suspicious/unusual transactions should be noted and escalated.
• Prepare and file list of customers with issues (e.g., untraceable payments and disqualified) for each market day.
• Regularly updates the list of no-shows after each market day.
• Backend support as may be assigned by the line manager.
• Perform overall accounts reconciliation of previous transactions for accuracy, audit and record keeping.
