My fellow Igbos, there's a saying that "Onye Ajulu adighi aju onwe ya". It's is about two weeks to the 30th of May. I enjoin all of you to observe 30th May in remembrance of our war dead. Those who fought or died in the war foresaw that the British colonial system of oppression and injustice known as Nigeria, would never work, but only go from bad to worse. Time has since proved them right. A slave will always see a freedom fighter as a fool. Remember those we lost in our noble quest for freedom, honour them, and say a prayer for their souls. Which yeye freedom. You guys always like starting the story from where your Bleep up end. There was no Quest for freedom when you carried out the first coup, there was no quest for freedom when Ironsi unified the regions trying to rule over everybody as it is the destiny of the Igbo to rule over those gullible Yoruba and Hausas Abi? Where was your quest for freedom when Igbo people were singing songs to piss on the graves of the northern and southwest leaders they killed. E come scatter now, the matter over you, una come Dey shout quest for freedom. Face the truth, you tried it and you failed at it. Live with the consequence and stop crying like victims all over social media. 11 Likes 3 Shares |

Re: My Fellow Igbos, Remember Our War Dead On 30th May by paramakina202: 11:07am On May 15 |
chiagozien: Yes Biafra as a nation is now history it must be remembered in that context.Physical Biafra that came into existence was defeated in 1970 and her last leader Gen Philip Effiong declared in his statement of surrender and I quote, LAGOS, Nigeria, Jan. 14 (AP)—Following is the text of the surrender document signed here today by Lieut. Col. Philip Effiong, who was a major general and is act ism as leader of the Biafrans: I, Philip Effiong, do hereby declare: I give you not only my own personal assurances but also those of my fellow officers and colleagues and of the entire former Biafran people of our fullest cooperation and very sincere best wishes for the future. It is my sincere hope the lessons of the bitter struggle have been well learned by everybody and I would like therefore to take this opportunity to say that I, Maj. Gen. Philip Effiong, officer administering the government of the Republic of Biafra, now wish to make the following declaration: That we are firm, we are loyal Nigerian citizens and accept the authority of the federal military Government of Nigeria. That we accept the existing administrative and political structure of the Federation of Nigeria. That any future constitutional arrangement will worked out by representatives of the people of Nigeria. That the Republic of Biafra hereby ceases to exist. https://www.nytimes.com/1970/01/16/archives/text-of-biafran-surrender.html So after reading the last line from Gen Effiong,is Biafra as a nation not dead?Something that ceases to exist is not dead? The problem with this generation of Igbo youths of today is that they prefer to follow deceivers and 419ers as their role model. MNK and Simon Ekpa will either lead you to prison and or even dead while they stay abroad and call for more fund raising for their pleasure. 2 Likes 1 Share |
