It's not pork farming, it's pig farming. Pork is the meat gotten from pigs. It's just like saying beef farming instead of cattle farming.

A very good idea. Man must eat no matter how bad the economy gets, so anything farming (livestock or crops) is a very profitable idea.
Just get someone who's into it and successful to guide you.
Alot of people would try and discourage you telling you how they know someone who it didn't work out for, just ignore and focus on your goal.

Bulk of the pigs gotten to sell in Benue come from Southern Kaduna.

Why not go into goat or rabbit farming if your are After their birth rate. Pork is an infectious meat, check youtube and see for yourself.

You have something called sunken cost fallacy. Explaining it is outside the scope of this thread so you should do well to google it if you don't already know what it is. Believe me you're not thinking straight.

You've put money in livestock in your place, it did not work out. You put money and the lives of others, it still did not work out. Now you want to put your money, your life, and the lives of others. And it will also likely not work out.

You can have distributors in the North to cater to the few that may be consuming pork but your farm is better located far away from core North that's predominantly Muslim.

Pork is haram to Islam so at best, locate your farm in the middle belt part that's predominantly Christian and non-islamic but core North is a bad idea especially if you are 'an outsider'.
