The main thing is for it to get to the final consumer for the intended benefit. If it will indeed translate to metering Nigeria to a realizable percentage, it’s a good deal. But if they’ll embezzle it and we start hearing another story, then it’s like moving round in circles. The government at this stage can’t afford to do any failed interventions. 34 Likes 2 Shares |

Let's hope the government can follow through on this and not make it an audio project as usual. It will go a long way in enforcing billing integrity on discos and push discos to identify points of energy theft. But also, tariff of other bands are likely to increase if all customers are metered. However, the most important thing is to make electricity supply available for businesses and people. |
