Helping someone is an act of unselfishness. Humans are naturally selfish but men tend to be more nice and giving towards the female folks.

Female on the other hand tend to more selfish than men. Futhermore,due to their egoistic nature and entitlement they assume it's their right to receive and giving should be done by others,particularly men.

A female will mostly help other female only if she's beyond a certain age and did not see the other female as competitors. Exception always applies.

They really do, in fact they do help each other a lot.

What's lacking from your situation is When someone helps someone at all, they usually do so as a kind of leverage—a connection or action in which both sides offer or do something in exchange for something else.

Women rarely receive anything in return from other women, so when they do offer assistance, it's typically sincere. Unless, of course, they are lesbians and demand something in return.

Conversely, men almost always seek something in return for being perceived as "helpful".

Know that men require something in return and women who understands this try to con them into giving them "what the men need", this is another reason why women who approach men for help and CLAIM to only have male friends do so.

In general, women get more support from their fellow women than men from their fellow men when faced with issues of life that is way beyond money.
