just wondering. Do Nigerian babes appreciate flowers? I have heard of instances where some guy sent his babe some flowers and she just threw the 'thing' at him and exclaimed, 'You spent all that on this rubbish. why didn't you just get me recharge card instead'. Let us share other experiences on this so we will know if our ladies actually appreciate flowers. |

fuzek: fuzek, update your profile to refect your gender so we can know the angle from which u are coming. but i thought giving flowers to a lady you love was kinda 'romantic' so if the ladies prefer otherwise, what does that leave us with? |

Re: Nigerian Babes And Flowers by walcolm(m): 3:34pm On Nov 11, 2007 |
@all, i think the take away from this thread is, dont give ur girl friend flowers as a gift , it's not appreciated by naija babes (apologies to any babe who appreciates flowers) if you are inclined to give flowers, wait till you have committed to a woman (probably in marriage) and there's no doubt in her mind about your ability to give her gifts and for heaven's sake, buy real flowers!!! dont buy all those artificial flowers they sell at gift shops , the value of giving flowers is first the symbolism and second, the fragrance. artificial flowers have no smell so the meaning is lost on a woman if you must give your girl friend flowers by force, add the flower to the 'gift' to make a single package |
Re: Nigerian Babes And Flowers by naijaking1: 4:04pm On Nov 11, 2007 |
almondjoy: Almond sweetie, you've got a problem with green back? A Benjamin would be most romantic. |
Re: Nigerian Babes And Flowers by omogenaija(f): 4:22pm On Nov 11, 2007 |
@ topic as a naija babe , I HATE FLOWERS , it an expensive waste , wats the point of buying something thats gonna die anyways . i prefer nothing to flowers , i rather get money to do my hair or chinese food naijaking1: true talk naijaking . |
Re: Nigerian Babes And Flowers by almondjoy(f): 4:25pm On Nov 11, 2007 |
walcolm: naijaking1: No baby! That Benjamin pales in comparison to that "Pound". Say it loud! "Pound" and feel your heart "Pound"! What is the exchange rate again? Get me some "Pounds" and we can talk "things over"! I am so glad you understand! Only send us flowers to impress our "oyinbo" colleagues---on Valentine's day or Mother's day. We usually like to leave those flowers at work too. |
Re: Nigerian Babes And Flowers by omogenaija(f): 4:26pm On Nov 11, 2007 |

omogenaija: Typical of us! Na flowers we go chop. Not even meaningful leaves like "ugwu and onugbu" to cook better soup? Please money any day. We are in the utility business! Yeah! But tell him to convert it to Pound Sterling first oh! omogenaija: You hear that Naijaking1----Pounds in thousands. We will love you to death!!! |
Re: Nigerian Babes And Flowers by almondjoy(f): 4:32pm On Nov 11, 2007 |
Siena: Thank you darling! The only "flowers" I want to see are the ones in my cooking pot! Pounds Sterling baby! Pounds sterling! "Ego Nne Charley"!!!! |

Re: Nigerian Babes And Flowers by princeonx: 5:51pm On Nov 11, 2007 |
I had some flowers delivered to this girl my cousin introduced me to here in the States on her birthday! The funniest thing is that she's this American-wannabe type of naija girl so I thought flowers will mean something to her but was wrong. The next day I got off the plane and with her still at work had her room mate pick me up. We got to the house and guess where the flowers are? the trash can in the batroom! I felt very bad cux it was a wasted effort and money, I wasted my time calling different flower shop to schedule Sunday delivery and yet it all went in the trash! so guys if you ask me I'll say most of our naija sisters don't value it and pls and pls don't even bother to buy flowers if you don't know anything about flowers! sending or giving the wrong flowers or colour is like sending a Congratulations card to someone that lost a loved one! |
Re: Nigerian Babes And Flowers by princeonx: 6:00pm On Nov 11, 2007 |
Ifyalways: point of correction. You can send/give flowers to someone you're about to date or have never even met as long as its the right flowers! and ofcox if she doesn't know anything about flowers herself then the whole thing will read different meaning cux she'll run like you said or might think you're already saying "I Love U" without knowing her! |
Re: Nigerian Babes And Flowers by MoOdYLaDy(f): 6:03pm On Nov 11, 2007 |
prince_onx:Lmfao . Btw, how much did it cost for both the delivery and flower @fuzek Don't you know some Naija guys are joker , flower ko flower ni |
Re: Nigerian Babes And Flowers by kojeiwa(m): 6:37pm On Nov 11, 2007 |
I can see some girls here are really local. I feel buying a flower to a girl is just simply romantic and it show you really love them or feel for them. A guy that can afford to buy you a flower, can also afford to buy you a gift too. A cheap guy wouln't even buy you a flower. |
Re: Nigerian Babes And Flowers by MoOdYLaDy(f): 6:51pm On Nov 11, 2007 |
kojeiwa:What does been local have to do with flowers , gosh don't understand what kind of mentality some of this Naija guys have , lol so have you thought of giving a flower to a girl when you were in Naija, abi isn't when they gave you a free visa to the US that you realized flower = Romance. Lmfao village boy like you have the audacity to call the ladies local |
Re: Nigerian Babes And Flowers by Shentz(f): 6:52pm On Nov 11, 2007 |
It's cute now if someone was to do that living in London, even though i aint hot on flowers its the thoughts that count which i would appreciate. |
