MR Macher qubain: CEO, starcomms REVELED that
starcomms is to deploy moble phone services in parts of the country on
the 3.5 Generation mobile platform.This will make starcomms the first
company in to deploy 3.5G in Africa.
3.5G OR HSDPA is a high speed brondband technology that
easily bumps up internet speed from about 400mps to about 1200mbps.
the first staage of the deployment will take place initially
in Abuja,there after other cities will continue.
meanwhile starcomms has signed on over 800,000 suscribers on
its network, with agressive plans to switch on services in Kanduna, Zaira and
the acient city of Benin.
