Facebook Marketplace Scam by longyemi(m): 8:59am On May 17 |
Good morning Nairalanders I was scammed while trying to get a TV on Facebook Marketplace on Sunday 12th May 2024. I've tried to reach out to my Bank and I really don't think they want to help with all the documents they are asking me to provide. The Facebook account of the person used to scam me is still active as the person posted some pictures days after. Please anyone in the house, is there anything I can do or anybody to help me out. Attached are some of the recent uploaded pictures from the Facebook, conversations and receipts for for the transactions.

longyemi:You did a great mistake Of all places to buy a TV,you went to get one from Facebook Market not even one close to your area where you can walk in ,inspect, pay and go. Even the account name is different from the Facebook Profile and you didn't deem it fit to confirm that before you made the transfer. Sorry for your loss bro,its gone already. Next time,go to the technology section ,find trusted sellers and make a purchase if you can't get it around your place. |

Chai is it that some people can't differentiate between a fake profile and the real profile? Facebook profile Female. Receiver account male. That should have been number one red flag for me. |
