Even eggs is not for poor people in Nigeria cos na mentality

Na rich people dey eat bread and eggs at home in Nigeria. Chai, see mentality oo

Our mentality about food in Nigeria is just anything solid like Eba, Akpu, bread and beans, beans and garri

You'd be assumed not as foolish as this when you don't defend nonsense

Ac no be for poor man

define poor man using your family members as benchmark examples because it is only a poor little boy from a wretched home that can come up with such a shallow minded comment.

I bought 1.5 HP LG in 2012 for 55k and it i bought for almost 300k in 2024. does your comment justify the 350% increase in the price?

How many people bought it when it was 55k?

If it was cheap at 55k then, everyone will have it in their house.

Even outside the Country its the same.
You do not expect a 2014 old model AC to be at the same price with a 2024 improved AC.
Do you expect a 2014 corolla to be at the same price with a 2024 corolla?
In the US a used 2014 Corolla price has remained the same for the past 5 years, but in Nigeria the price has moved from 5m to 14m.

Exactly, this is the ideology of your Master Tinubu and of the grand master APC....

Tinubu seats in a convoy of cars worth 24 million per one but feels jealous when a civil servant has two cars ...

He even openly argued it saying , what is the civil servant doing with two carswhen he can drive and maintain one...

TINUBU has always centered his lifestyle on differentiating between the rich and the poor..

A.C is no big deal, is what every man should have if the government is working ..

I am speechless. Because in some states in Nigeria this #500 is not even enough to smoke garri.

who told you people were not buying it more in 2015? If you are poor you think everyone is?

The issue is the percentage of increase which is astronomical. This is over 700% increase fgs!

It’s madness
The government increased its allocations by that amount but are denying workers minimum wage that’s reasonable

Even businesses are charging very high in the name of of exchange rate but still paying 50k salaries or less

Once the minimum wage is increased demand for more wages from the private sector too because prices will go up. If not it’s better and more profitable to farm

That's a foolish thing to say. The poor should aspire to be rich and to enjoy the good things of life. And if not for inflation, many of them will be able to afford it.
APC has dealt a dirty one on Nigerians so when people complain, you should listen to them and feel their pains.

If what you are proposing is not madness, then explain how you will stop politicians from increasing their own salaries, allowances and benefits, even plus the ObiRodents in communist labourers' camp LP?

The Gbajue master of Pandora looting scamming people since 1914. grin

NLCreator:
eter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 elections, has defended the purchase of sports utility vehicles (SUVs) for members of the national assembly.

There have been reports that the leadership of the 10th national assembly has bought SUVs for all lawmakers.

Each SUV is said to be valued at N160 million.

The LP had asked members of the party in the national assembly to kick against “wastage”.

While responding to questions during a press conference in Abuja on Monday, the former governor of Anambra said the SUVs are not personal cars of the lawmakers, noting that they are for official use.

“Let me start with the issue of Labour Party members in the house. I have actually discussed this issue with them,” Obi said.

“Surprisingly, I can tell you I heard that these vehicles are official cars. They have to use it. It is meant for office.

“So it is not as if it is their vehicle. They said it is official cars and you are meant to use it while you are in the senate.”

Obi also hinted at contesting for the country’s number one position in 2027, adding that Nigeria deserves dedicated and visionary leaders who will lead the country towards a brighter future.

Journalist: how do you intend to engage members of your party who are members of the house, so that they can stand different.......?

PO: Let me start with the issue of labour party members in the house, have actually discussed this issue with them, surprisingly, I can tell you , I heard that this vehicles are official cars, and are they normally, it is, they have to use it, is meant for official vehicle, so is not as if it is their vehicle, that is meant for official car and everything, because we campaigned for it, and said listen, if it is your car, you return it, or d.... But they said is official car and everybody is meant to uuu, you're meant to use it while you're in the senate, but you know how things work here, it's not going to be like that.

Wrong, clearly you have not traveled outside the country.
In the US, just because the prices of goods increased by 30% in 4 years, Biden has become unpopular and may lose the coming election.
Meanwhile, in Nigeria, prices go up by almost 800% and the same party still retains power and you wonder why things are getting worse.

But you sef check the price differences na.
Same model of a 2015 ac shouldn't be at that price in a saner clime.
It's like a 2015 brand new car in 2015, of cause not everyone can afford it then. But in 2024 still not affordable due to ridiculous price ? You sef reason am na
