Since you have been attending church services, have you noticed any genuine character transformation in your life. I am not talking about singing worship, improvement in your prayer life, blasting tongues etc. I am talking about true character change of bad habits, bad behaviours etc.. E.g. A hot-tempered person now a cool person, A hook-up lady stopping hook-up totally even if it means not getting such money.

Yes. I was born in the Catholic Church. Circumstances made me to be raised in one of the leading Pentecostal Churches in Nigeria. I returned to the Catholic in 2018.

Catholics go for confessions in which a lot of things happen. For example, if you say you quarrelled with someone, the priest will ask you if you have made peace with the person. If you say no, he will tell you to go and make peace with the person. This now makes me to be mindful of how I talk to people both online and offline.

I am not perfect. I am still working on myself. But I, at least, try to avoid being the first to abuse people. Before the year 2018, I could easily insult people. My challenge now is that when people insult me, I return the insult. Returning the insult is not godly. It is part of why I said I am still working on myself.

I returned to the Catholic Church and learnt that every sinner has a future and every saint has a past. Because of this, I do not write off people who have bad behaviours. I speak to and assit them when necessary. But I don't compromise. I point out their errors. Also, I am careful when dealing with people who have good reputations. I understand that they are humans that can change or make mistakes any time.

Another change is that I came to understand that success (passing exams, getting money and so on) comes from work (actions), not from prayer and giving Church money. The Pentecostal Church I was attending wrongly made me to believe that praying and paying tithes without working can make me a millionaire or billionaire.

NOTE:
I don't mean that those in other Churches will go to hell. Even I and my fellow Catholics are sinners in one way or another. There is no living saint. As a matter of fact, some priests in some catholic parishes "misyarn". So, do not perceive my comment as an attack on Pentecostal Churches. I simply and sincerely express my experience in one Pentecostal Church and my experience in the Catholic Church. Also, I don't mean that all the worshipers in the particular Pentecostal Church I left will go to hell.
