UK Bsc And Msc Degree. What Position Can I Expect In A Bank? by MightyMuna(m): 12:39am On Sep 27, 2014
Good day house,

I possess a UK BSc and MSc degree, both 2:1.

At the moment, the only job on offer is a bank job. So I'm just wondering, if I accept, what sort of position should I expect, also any details on salary, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

4 years work experience. However, only 2 years were in a financial institution.

I have 2 years work experience in a financial institution and 2 years in other sectors.

Nevertheless, I guess you're right. Probably entry level.

Seems unfair though, to just discard qualifications, kinda makes education pointless.

4 years experience and you're asking questions like a fresh graduate?! It is well with you.

That's because, the experience is from UK and more so, from what I've seen/heard since I've come back to Nigeria, companies here don't seem to acknowledge experience.

In addition to that, applying for an experienced position is next to impossible, because it seldom gets advertised and only entry level mass recruitment gets advertised.

Anyways you said the offer is already on the table so it depends on how you were hired.

If as entry level you can pretty much be put in any department.

But If based on your experience than it could be marketing, operations, IT, legal, HR, corporate communications, audit etc depending on your existing competencies.

Fresh graduate/entry level pay is averagely minimum of N150k per month. Go figure.
