Sales Report shocked

Veryfyd, com ( Definitely a play on the word Verified)

Sp/Bin: 4988$
Drop reg at spaceship for 2.88$
HT: 4 months..
Sv:Dan

Price was initially 3500 u know me and this nonsense figure so I change am to 4988 was trying to change to 6988 recently for some reason but forgot about it

Omo for this one I didn't want to reg it cause it was for sale last year .......but regged cause one end user reg .com.au and .au like the month before that time and it redirects to a new thing they are starting so na why I price like that tho shoulda been higher but Verifid woulda been a better one for me and I also check Veryfid and Verifyd to see if they are regged and they were so took it ....

It was for sale at cheaper price last year... Goes to show it's not about the pricing.. it's just that the end user isnt yet interested in the name yet.....

Buyer wasn't even the Australian I reg am for na someone from Philippines buy am I had make offer open they didn't even bother to negotiate....

Second Sales Report this wan happen for Saturday LTO tho so it could cancel after first month( will update if it does)

Flickerly,com
SP: 3500
Sv: Afternic
HT : 1 year 3 months
Bought at closeout for 5$+ renewal and another renewal . didn't want to renew last year but sale came so I said why not......regged cause one UK company was using it in .co.uk them don even shut down and deleted their name sef so don't know what this is... And Flicker is like to on light bulb or whatever I don't know lol na game flicker I know to disappear to another direction.......

Now if I had decided to not reg anything this year I would still have this sales since they aren't this year reg.... With my 200 names in Jan I don reach 2% str like this lol (not that it matters tho like I said profit only)........ It's somehow tho selling more than once a month is something i didn't expect ......

Also what probably gave me an edge is that I check Ed everyday I don't spend more than an hr tho or 30 mins else it will become tiring to do daily........

Cause checking daily helps since good names could fall on days u decide to rest and u won't know then u will have to reg manage manage name on the once a week u show up..... If u check daily u get to notice names that drop too much, ones that don't have value and ones that do and how to properly spend your funds .... Money tight last year so had to only reg wen I thought the names were too good and that's like once a week u will see after days of checking cause everyone too dey dropcatch.........

As opposed to My year one I only check wen I have money and na random ..... year 2 didn't have time but tried no money either so I was over picky ... But wen spaceship and one.com( this one,com na useless company don't use them oh omo they just dey frustrate everyone just to reg name... they take many days and still tell u their back end team no approve the reg 1$ promo shoulda expected that)..... start their promo I wasn't too picky for a while...

And lastly believe in your pricing end user that want will take ,,,ones that want to frustrate your life will frustrate...... If u don't believe in pricing wen negotiation come u fit confuse like I did last month lol upon everything the end user run.....on 500$ oh cause I myself wasn't sure why I reg the name and the better version was for sale so I confuse even more .....

Some end users actually think for our names to show up in GoDaddy search say we pay thousands of dollars
per year to advertise there so they feel trying to price us low would be a loss. ... And there are just others wey be winch trying to make u sell 30$....

And honestly there is no right way to domain it's all up to you to see name and decide if it make sense or not same goes with pricing just do you ....

Wishing us all more sales.....

Oh an also still surprising that despite adding better names from closeout and it making up half of my portfolio na still deleted names that's selling .... that's to show that u don't need to dropcatch or participate in auction just do wetin your budget fit reach spending 200$ on auction name and going broke isn't worth it ... .... The thing made not able to afford any name for a month then ....... I even ignore deleted list last year we'll cause I always said good ones are dropcatched anyways so who cares but I changed towards last year ending omo....I just focused on closeout only.... See me oh

Omo this thing long oh grin make una no vex

congrats. do you select language like Englis, french, spain in your ED when searching or you leave it blank?

Contact afternic and explain how your bank can't receive wire transfer and ask them to reverse it.......

palinco:
Will they reverse the payment and demand I chose another option?

Hi oga iyke, how do you deal with enduser that has no email address? All 5 end users has no email address.... I know for sure that they will really like the domain name, because it is a better option for them
OK. There's likely to be a "contact us form" there. If that's there, copy and paste your sales template there. It will be forwarded to their main email address.

I don't know the age bracket of people here but I presume us to be adults. And by adults, I mean mature people who can give guiding advice to willing teenagers who seek knowledge. I mean no disrespect to iyke but your advise doesn't seem so wise. I apologize for that choice of word.

When it comes to advices with obvious financial implications, you should weigh them especially when it is meant for young people not so exposed to life. Would you have advised your brother the same way?

@Darealrick, you have done the right thing to seek counsel. It's a good thing that you asked for advise. I can imagine the kind of thoughtful father you have and the financial lesson he is teaching you. Not every children are privileged to get such training early in life.

While domaining can be a fruitful and life-changing venture, it doesn't come easy. I know you are excited about the sales reports here and there which is the prayer of everyone but I'm sorry to say this, not everyone will achieve that feat. But that is not to say that you can't surpass such feat.

Like others usually say, I'll advise you read this thread from the beginning and the beginner's section on namepros.com; whichever one you prefer first. Create a domain tweet list on Twitter so you can read tweets and comments from veterans. There are free resources out there. Gain as much knowledge as you can before enrolling in paid lectures.

A fool and his money are soon parted. I say this not only in respect to domaining but in every financial decisions you will think of making henceforth. 50k is not such a big amount as you think and it can be wiped off by ill-thought actions.

I wish I had your kind of mentality when I was 16. You will have a bright future if you improve on it. By the way, I recommend you get the book "Richest Man in Babylon" and let the wisdom in it stick with you as you grow. It would be a wise financial decision to even buy the book out that capital you have. Tell your dad I draw inspiration from his gesture, and I hope to teach my children same at the right time.

To everyone, I want to plead with us to stop encouraging laziness. Responses like "Contact iyke" or "visit julanky.com" is promotion of laziness. You are giving newbies the idea that it's all they need to do for success. There is no substitute for hardwork. You can work smart, yes, but not lazily.

And for people making killer sales, please don't forget to drop your lessons along the way and the stories which the success is not communicating.

@ boss iyke, I sincerely apologize if my message seems to attack your person. Your contributions to the knowledge on domaining all of us on this thread have today cannot be overemphasized. But I believe you understand my message better than it is written.

This will be my last reply to your plight and I only did that because of your age - 16.
What an apt age that anymore on earth will be lucky to know about domain investment at such age.

Bollocks!
Shame to all those that liked your comment.

Will you say same to GoDaddy DNAcademy?
I can bet you that Newbies that enrolled for Iyke's class were successful than those your likes sent to evil forest of start from page 1.

For a Newbie in this industry, you first need someone to hold you hand and point out to you, this is this and that, rather than consuming contents they won't understand at first and end up frustrated.

After the class, he then come back here, go namepros and other places to learn more.

I already gave honor to whom it's due. Unfortunately, I can't help with the way in which you chose to interpret what I wrote above. I didn't write it for you anyway.

I understand your running emotions but you're not the only one who subscribed to Iyke's class. The attached screenshot is my chat of 2019 with the boss. An investment which yielded, and still yielding.

But it would be an error (and a highly misleading one infact) to say that's the template for success. It is an encouragement of laziness and shortcut which doesn't exist in domaining.
Have a glorious day sir.

Web developers can earn money online through freelance projects on platforms like Upwork or Fiverr, building custom websites and web applications, creating and selling themes/plugins on marketplaces like ThemeForest or CodeCanyon, or starting their web development agency.

iykepromotions:
Edited; this thread is all about exposing one of the other ways to make money online. I don't want this thread to go far however my original thread was deleted late last week by the overzealous antibot. And I promise that this thread will be more interesting than the first thread.

Introduction;
As I write earlier this thread is focusing on how to make money with NEW and EXPIRED domain names, tips, experiences. Do and Don'ts.
It still amazes me that quite a large number of Nigerians are fully online with different devices phones and computers but yet not making money from it. Many things have changed and one of the easiest way to make money now is online. Quote me anywhere.

Now you may be asking" what is a domain name and how can I make money from it"?
Calm down
In one word a domain name is an online real estate. If you want to get a website for personal or business use, what you need first is a domain name. Just like if you want to to build a house, no matter your plans and design, you need a land first.
In other words, without a domain name there will be no website. Without a domain name there will be nothing like e-mail address. "Now how do I make money from it"? The truth is that most good domain names have been taken. ... They have all gone. For example all 3letter domains names has been taken. You can form it and confirm. The only avenue to target is expired domain names. And what is expired domain name again? These are domains that the original owners fail to renew. every domain has an expiry date. The maximum you can register a domain is 10 yr which the minimum is just 1 yr. Now if the original owner fail to renew it after the year duration, some grace period will be given after the domain will be dropped and become available for anyone to re- register and it's legal.

Now this is quite easy and anybody with the right information and tools can do it and have a wonderful result. This is from my personal experience and not a hear say. Now this is richly profitable but just like any other business it has some basic strategies and ways to do it in order to get decent result.

Questions and enquiries are welcomed.

Since you chose to call out all those who liked his comment (of which I'm included), then I feel I should say something

While what you said sounds 'good', it's actually not the best advice to give to a teenager. The goal here is not just to make the money. How about the intelligence of maintaining it??
There are people who made sales here and because it came with not so much effort, they feel that's just the way it'll keep going and they'll blow off the money. That aside, how about low seasons of sales drought that most newbies encounter while growing

The last bit you said, you should have included it in your first advice to the guy. You never told him to come back here and learn after the training
You only said, pay for training, buy 3 names, enjoy yourself and cashout.
If it worked that way for you, prescribing it to others would be a fallacy of hasty generalization

I stand with domainer1999....

In this country we like to beat around the bush too much...

Someone asked a very precise question and a smart answer was given...

If that boy should go by your advice Martial, that boy go buy like 4 serious nonsensical Brandables after reading all the juicy kinikor on namepros and twitter....

One thing is to be mature another thing is to outgrow the spirit of "Beh" (Martial this message is for you)
