Only Lagos and Borno have successive governments of continuity out of the 36 states of the federation. Prior to the arrival of Shettima in Borno State, Tinubu enjoyed this unusual advantage for years as the only Governor who has produced successors who have followed the master plan of the state.

In 2019 Presidential election, Obi won about 95% of Anambra votes for PDP while Tinubu managed to deliver about 55% of Lagos votes to APC.
Hence Obi is more popular in Anambra than Tinubu in Lagos.
