There are many ways in which you can fix your hanging phone issues, but i have lay down three most effective ways to do so.

1.) Clear Your App Catches:

Cache are temporary data storage area for information that your device may use again in the future, but not that important as they cause your device hang.
Ways to clear catches on andriod phones;
i. go to your phone settings.
ii. scroll down and press 'Battery and device care'.
iìi. press on 'Storage'
iv. then press on the three dots at the top left of your phone screen which will show the word 'Advance'.
v. now go to 'Other apps'.
vi. choose any app to clear catches.
vii. lastly, you can clear the catches which is at the bottom of your phone screen. (N/B; if you press on 'clear data' your information in that app may be lost).

Repeat the clear catches for other apps to get best result.

The second way to fix your phone hanging problem is,

2.) Deleting Less Important Files, like pictures, music, pdf documents and videos. The will improve your phone performance even more.

Lastly is,

3.) Software Updating:

Software updates are the phone company's way of remotely improving the phone's performance.

Delaying the latest software update can even put your phone at greater risk of personal information being hacked.
Once a new OS software update is available, installing it on a device should never occur any later than a few days to a week after release, say cybersecurity experts.

You can find your phone software update when you go to settings.
Sometimes your phone brand company sends information to you if there is any software update.
