This govt doesn't give a shit. They can get away with anything. APC and Tinubu in particular are demonic. They have succeeded in using propaganda and paid idiots online to divide us to a level that we can't even protest or demand for change. Watch how the paid clowns will swarm on this thread.

You are renown soldier in this tribal division war. When your side are seemingly winning, you hail them. And when the other side are on the upper hand, you wail.

Please when are you changing too?

very insensitive, particularly at a time when banks are declaring record profits and people are being squeezed with high inflation....GTB declared ₦609.3billion, Access N619.32bn. FBN almost N400 billion. If funds are required for cybersecurity, the banks definitely can make some room to cover these costs

The money goes to the office of the NSA, not Banks.
Your legislators approved this nonsense.

Is there anywhere I said I said the money goes to the banks ?

I simply posited that banks are in a better position to bare these levies given the windfall they have been making

As long as those who voted for this government will also pay, there is no problem with the policy.

Btw, when are the APC propagandists going to quickly draft a memo to show that Emefiele came up with the idea and was about to implement it before he was arrested, so that we all can blame him and then move on?

This is going to translate to huge fund being taken from Nigerians into the pockets of few. It's so unfortunate that we have always had insensitive and selfish leaders in this country. It means every Nigerian is automatically poorer by 0.5%.

Tomorrow they will claim 100% increase in IGR and the Agbadorians will celebrate.
In an unproductive economy like ours, high IGR = high taxes on ordinary citizens. It is nothing to celebrate at all.

All over the world, governments take pride in REDUCING peoples taxes. In Nigeria the reverse is the case.

The irritating thing is that the clowns think the scraps from their masters' table will make them rich because one day they will get to that level - Newsflash! It will not happen. They are setting up their own flesh and blood to take over from them. Continue defending the very people that are making you poorer and poorer. This goes to all the posters insulting fellow Nigerians who have a right to be unhappy.

NB I await someone coming to say it is 2% in another country ..
That's my main issue with APC as a party. PDP was bad but I truly believe that APC is demonic. APC, with Tinubu running the media, doesn't care about the unity of the country, no game is too dangerous to play for power.

PDP didn't play the tribal card as a party, their spokespersons did not insult Nigerians like old men like Bayo does. You can tell that even in their (PDP) corruption there was a plan to remain nationalistic and unite.

See how foot soldiers defend all the rubbish they spew. Since they came in, they brought in a new brand of propaganda where dimwitted idiots are paid peanuts to praise.

And I don't even have too much issue with that but the fact that these idiots they use are told to play all sort tribal and religious cards to pass their message is more devilish.

APC does not just destroy the people with their bad policies they also use men of opaque souls to destroy the people with their dirty propaganda.
