Arise O' Sleeping Youth of Nigeria!!!

Awolowo was (37), Akintola (36), Ahmadu Bello (36), Effiong (36), Balewa (34) and Okotie-Eboh (27), Enahoro (27) led the struggle for independence after the death of Macaulay. Only Zik was 42 at the time.
In 1966, the first coup was led by: Kaduna Nzeogwu (29) and countered by Murtala Mohammed (28), Theophilus Danjuma (28), Babangida (25), Nanven Garba (23), Sani Abacha (23), Shehu Musa Yaradua (23), and brought into power Gowon (32), Ojukwu (33), Obasanjo (29), Buhari (24).
Most of the military administrators who governed the states under the successive military regimes, most of whom are governors now, were under 30 years.
The brief democratic dispensation which interjected the military interregnums also saw the House of Representatives in particular populated by majority of members under 30 years as well as some senators.Under 30s were also not in short supply with appointments, we have examples of MT Mbu who became foreign affairs minister at 23 and Pat Utomi who became a presidential adviser at 27 and so on and so forth.

NOW:

Why is it that this age bracket is today still sleeping in 3 seater chairs in their parents’ homes?
Why is it that this age bracket is today still collecting pocket money from their parents?
Why is it that this age bracket is today still writing JAMB?
Why is it that this age bracket is today still sagging their trousers?
Why is it that this age bracket is today still searching for jobs? Why is it that this age bracket is today no longer qualified to even be leaders of youth wings of political parties?
Why is it that this age bracket is today so docile?
Why is it that this age bracket is today still incapable of feeding itself?
Why is it that this age bracket is today barred by law from even aspiring to certain political offices?
Why is it that this age bracket is today incapacitated, unwilling, unable and incapable of asking questions?

The reality is that instead of doing something constructive

They are seeing the success of those who have been in power and want to be like them in an instant

The other half is busy hailing Kalu and Biafra as if they'll all turn Billionaires overnight

Besides that those in power need to be overthrown , that's why we need several selfless Nigerians with ambition, educated with pure intention

The leaders tricked us into hating each other , while some are inert, others are reactive and that is why even if a youth from another region rises , he'll be cut down

The solution to this problem from my perspective is ONE NIGERIA, ALL YOUTHS SPEAKING WITH ONE VOICE

Why did you start by mentioning Awolowo and Akntola first? And Ojukwu last nor Azikiwe. Typical yoruba. Azikiwe started the champiioning for Nigeria independence at a very young age while at Lincoln university. Tafalewa and Awolowo came on board later. If not for An Igbo who believes in indivilualism and that man should not be under the control of another man, hausas and yorubas were fine under British control.

Pls all those people you just named with their ages, how far did they lead us in this country? All they cared about was their pockets, coup, couter-coup and looting our country dry. Per harps we needed more mature minds to have ruled the country in our beginning stages instead of those heartless "heros" that destroyed this country

Pls I'm not against youth empowerment. Im just of the opinion that the youths u used were all unworthy to be examplary figures for the youths of Nigeria.

I think our youths should focus more on entrepreneurship and self development instead of running around begging government for white collar jobs or idling away at home. Most of the world richest men who made it young, started as entrepreneurs with an idea, some worked for themselves while seeking opportunities and they made it. But here in Nigeria, we want to work for someone, the government, we don't want to struggle and make it for ourselves

I know you are yoruba and as such want one Nigeria at what expense? The problem with yoruba is their two-face mindset and ability to condone evil as long as they are benefiting. Here you have one Nigeria with an unequal opportunity and distribution of the wealth of the country. You have the only functional seaport and airport in Nigeria all in Lagos. None in other regions particularly in former eastern region. Have you ever asked yourself this was done by design to marginalize a certain people? If you yorubas are serious about one Nigeria...stop condoning evil. Come out in droves...protest, that SS and SE ports and airports should be made to be as functional as those of Lagos. Every federal offices, embassies and multinationals should have their offices too in SS and SE. Then we know you love One Nigeria.

The same speech i hate is what you are giving me , Wasn't Jonathan there? He's Ijaw / Ibo / SS / SE , whatever he is representing these days , he had a chance to fix your region, so many political leaders , Remember James Ibori ? Remember Alamesiya ? remember those fleas that sucked your states out of resources ?

Those are the people the youths in your region should fight against , it's not like resources and allocations were not disbursed to your region , Check the allocation formula , SS /SE / Oil producing states collect at least twice what a state like Osun recieves , where's your allocation going to ? I am sure it's not the north or yoruba people .

And if you want Yoruba people's support, you need to appeal to their sense of humanity , and you all need to be ready to march against the forces weilding powers in your region

Above is a link to Budget allocation from another OP , read is and maybe you will understand that there's no marginalization, your leaders are the ones Marginalizing you , not Yorubas , and not Hausas
