Dear Nairalander,
I think it is high time we place an embargo on some fraudsters, firms, industries , consultants and clown in this great forum. Now lets get serious and discus this issue technically;
1. how can we pay money to view info on any vacancy advert e.g www.jobvacanciesnigeria.com ( posted by Delords) while great sites like nairaland, nigeragalleria , naijajobs,, etc, .are absolutely free and so factual.

2. most consultants place vacancies only for you to be asked to pay N500 or more , and tell you later they will get back to you. Infact, one consultant will offer you a nanny or housekeeper job, even a sales executive (selling newspapers, magazine,selling gala, yoghurt etc, ) knowing fully well that you will reject it and then asking you to hold on( maybe forever) that they will get in touch.


3. most banks( UBA, oceanic bank etc) will hold aptitude test and keep the results for long as 5 months or more ( especially UBA) and will not call you for interview, and when they do, you may probably stay 9 mths extra before you will called in for medicals( 2ND INTERVIEW as the case maybe) and at least, you will spend 15 mths before even getting to training school after you had suffer to pass the test. Thank God for First Bank !! ( at least). What about peopleprime? We all know what they are up to, don’t mind some of them writing in as nairalander congratulating themselves for a job well done, you don’t sound your own trumpet, abi ?

4. what about some Nairalanders who want to defraud their fellow unemployed broda, someone will ask you to drop your first Bank ID and many will rush in to feed in,Later, they will call you ( with the info on your data) and tell you they can inflate your score with a little tip: hw about those that will place outdated topic (info) just to fool us ( crazykid etc) ,(Thank God for Sammie 77) we really have to do something about this nairalanders. Imagine someone lied that FIRS was recruiting the other time, that we should pay N500 for transport to submit the CV to office, most Guys paid and waited, later I had to travel to FCT to meet an Uncle ( who is a Director there) and he was quite please to tell me , it was all a fairly tale.

Have you people ever wonder what happened to Celtel Headstart, LNG takein ( not the real one) ? this were false info that were posted for us to all dive in even when most of our colleague confirm the companies that they are not recruiting at that time. I intend raising a motion that whosever places a wrong info on nairaland, we would contact OLUSEUN OSEWA to publicly place the email and person on the blacklist to serve as an example to others.

I'm 100% in support of your contribution O! Can you imagine negative use of a positve forum by twisted minded people!? Tryin to con folks on nairaland especially job seekers should be made punishable via capital punisnment (if only it were enforceable!)
As for those who make applicants to embark on a torturous oddessy of waiting endlessly for results, medicals, etc It is not fair at all moreso as a lot of people have hopes raised only to be dashed!
I've written to one of such before and I pleaded hat they make the waitin period shorter but till today I was not even acknoeledged talkless of my suggestion being positively responded to. NIGERiA WE HAIL THEE!

MY NAME IS CAROLINA AND M FROM KOGI STATE.I FINISHED FROM UNILORIN (GEOLOGY)I KNOW ALOT OF PROBLEMS COMES WITH BANKS GENERALLY AND THEIR APTITUDE TESTS,BUT THATS BY THE WAY,I HAVE MY OWN RESERVATIONS.IN RECENT TIMES, I HAVE TAKEN SOME APTITUDE TESTS AND HAVE PASSED SOME,I HAVE TAKEN UBA TEST TWICE AND I DID WELL BUT THE BIG PROBLEM IS THAT ,I WONT EVEN BE ALLOWED AN INTERVIEW TO PROVE MYSELF BECAUSE I CAME OUT OF SCHOOL (UNILORIN)WITH A 3RD CLASS.THIS IS SO UNFAIR, COS THERE ARE LOTS OF QUESTIONABLE 2"1 s AND 2"2 s. my Bros, i think you are absolutely correct, my friend wrote UBA test last yr( NOV/Dec) and was called for interview by June( 6mths) and still waiting for the medicals. that crazykid and his cohort shd be made to face the penalty of their action, isupport blacklisting them from nairaland.

I totally agree with you Eddy. My younger sister wrote UBA exams since around June and she was told she passed the test, but until now, she's yet to be called for an interview. She's so devastated and worried.
Something surely has to be done.

As for those guys with fake postings and fraudulent behaviour, I'm afraid they'll definitely come back with other names and Identities even if they're banned or blacklisted. I think we should all think of how to curtail their intrigues in some other ways. Educating Nairalanders by calling the names of frauds (like you're already doing) is a good beginning.

Every one should be weary of promises that sound too good to be true and NEVER EVER part with money to recruiting firms, if they truly have anything to offer, they wouldn't be asking for money first.

Ultimately, stay clear of get rich quick syndrome and be wise, open your eyes wide and don't get duped.
