The forests of Bangladesh are rich in wildlife. Royal Bengal Tiger, Chitra Deer, Maya Deer, Elephant, Monkey, Porcupine, Hanuman, Bear, Crocodile, Myna, Tia, Owl, Fish, Snake, Tortoise etc. are rare. The forests and nature of Bengal are full of wanderlust. To meet the increased demand due to population growth, many forest areas have been converted into houses and agricultural land. Schools, colleges, industrial factories, market markets, and city ports have been built somewhere in the forest. Due to habitat destruction, many wild animals have disappeared from rural and hilly forests. Wildlife has also declined alarmingly in natural forests.

In 1960, the Royal Bengal Tiger disappeared from the forests of Cox’s Bazar. The freshwater crocodile disappeared from the Sundarbans. Wildlife is an integral part of our environment. A habitat for present and future generations Building the world is our need. Therefore, the ‘Dulahazara Wildlife Museum’ was established with the aim of increasing public awareness, education, and research opportunities for wildlife protection. It is the first wildlife museum in Bangladesh. It is located on the eastern side of the Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway, next to the gate of Dulahazara Safari Park.
