Hhhmmm even here in Akwa Ibom State, with the resources at hand, he could only pay the wage award for 3months at N10,000/month. And since January, nothing again. Level 9/5 officer collecting N71,000 per month as salary. Some has worked for upward of 23years to merit this highbee02: |

softtorce: The old minimum wage didn't favour the senior civil servant in the state (Leve 7 and above). They only did consequential adjustment whereby 10k was added to#36k . Level 8 was being paid #36k before the #30k minimum wage. |

JASONjnr: Lmao. It's crazy that I used to think like this too until I elevated my consciousness. Before poor people collect 1k to sell their votes, the civil servants and professionals don collect 200k-20million to paint these terrible leaders in good light to us. These civil servants and professionals allow the criminal leaders walk our streets. Nigerian lawyers, bankers, help them achieve their status, and all our great minds keep shut. Without professionals, bad leaders cannot even reach the people |

Do they review what they can embezzle? You see a state you assumed was low on funds, yet the governor would embezzle hundreds of millions. Same governor cannot pay civil servants well. Nigeria is a sad country. 8 Likes 3 Shares |

When they fixed governors and other political appointees in states, they did not sit down to consider their purse, when many of them are packing the state money through corrupt activities, as the case of yeye bello they don't consider their purse before embarking on massive starving, it is when it comes to poor masses that they need to sit down and talk. When these wicked group called governors forum are subverting our constitution and make themselves above the law, the masses especially labor union at federal level led by discipline and incorruptible Ajero should not allow them to subvert our law, any one who is not willing to uphold the constitution of Nigeria as regard minimum wage law and others should resign their position and allow incorruptible and God fearing person to take over. Actually, all of them advocated for removal of subsidy to have more money coming to their state, now money has come but they don't want to fulfill the responsibility associated with increased allocation. |

I think it we will be best if the salary of people in government is made a multiple of what they pay as minimum wage e.g like paying the Governor x20 of minimum wage. Also the FAAC share of each state should be a percentage of what they generate internally. Maybe the they Governors will treat workers well and look inward on the potential of the state they governm |
