The body of an unidentified woman whose remains was found in Abuja after Mpape Junction has prompted the Federal Capital Territory Police Command to launch an probe.

The body was evacuated from the Mabushi Divisional Headquarters of the command, according to the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, who also stated that investigations were still underway to identify the woman.

“Mabushi Division took the body to the hospital yesterday. We have yet to identify who she is. We are still investigating, “she said.

An X user had posted photos of the unidentified lady on Thursday, noting that no form of identification was found on the corpse to get through to her family and relatives.

“This young girl was found dead this morning, after Mpape junction around Abuja top bridge that connects Berger and AYA. They couldn’t find any useful information about her or any I.D. to get through to her family and relatives,” she wrote.

In another post hours later, she said : “Hi guys goodafternoon, thank you all for your repost/your tags we’ve being able to gather informations about her and reached out to her family in Benue state, may her soul find rest.”

Responding to the tweets, some users had alleged the possibility that she was a ‘one chance’ victim, noting the removal of all forms of identification from her.

What are they probing? No street cameras, they can't do DNA or fingerprint analysis, despite all the biometric data they collect annually still they can't identify anyone when the need arises.
