ALHAJI SHITTU MOSHOOD: PART OF MAJOR PROBLEMS FOR SENATOR RABIU MUSA KWANKWASO, THE FOUNDER OF THE KWANKWASIYA MOVEMENT IN NIGERIA

It is with a deep sense of sympathy that Senator Rabiu Musa KWANKWASO, until today, has not seen reasons to rid himself of the unemployed characters around him.

For the avoidance of doubt, the same Moshood Shittu was the young man who managed the defunct National Party Alliance into extinction. Despite allegedly receiving huge sums of money and a befitting national headquarters in Abuja, he ended up holding various positions within the party, including national chairman, secretary-general, national financial secretary, treasurer, and national publicity secretary.

However, Moshood's contribution was limited to ensuring that ANP was a member of the Inter-Party Advisory Council, a platform allegedly known for engaging frontline governors on personal interests, leaving the party to suffer.

This led to ANP's deregistration, destroying Senator KWANKWASO's backup plan in case of disappointment by the PDP and APC, as ANP never materialized, leading to frantic efforts to secure a viable political party for the 2023 presidential election.

Despite Senator KWANKWASO's current political troubles, Alhaji Shittu Moshood still thinks that causing more problems for him is the best way to help him. His call for the arrest of the founder and national chairman of the New Nigeria People's Party by security agencies is most unfortunate and regrettable.

Therefore, one begins to wonder about the rationale behind calling security agencies to arrest the principal officers of NNPP, knowing fully well that the internal crisis in the party has been addressed by the courts.

It seems to us that what is left for Senator KWANKWASO at the moment is prayers to gather the courage to rid himself of all the seeming political jobbers around him during this trial period. Currently, Senator KWANKWASO has to contend with the internal crisis of NNPP, the Ganduje and Shakaru APC platform in Kano, and alleged suspicions of Senator KWANKWASO's conduct among the elders of the north.

What will happen in due time between him and the Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abbah Kabir, is yet unknown. It is our hope that the Ganduje experience does not repeat itself. It is also worth noting the suspicions of non-Kwankwasiya movement persons regarding the 2027 general election. Their safety ahead of the 2027 election to participate is unknown due to the crisis.

Having Shittu Moshood, Barr Ladipo Johnson, Mr. Dipo Olayoku, Prince Onu Nweze, and Elder Buba Galadima in one accord is definitely more problems for Senator KWANKWASO.

However, we shall encourage the security agencies of the government to keep an eye on Alhaji Shittu Moshood of the Kwankwasiya movement for obvious reasons.
