Hotel Supervisor


Job Description

Our Client urgently requires the services of a Supervisor with OND, in any relevant field. The ideal candidate must be an experienced professional responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a hotel, ensuring efficient management, and providing strategic direction.

He/she would be in charge of supervising staff, managing budgets, implementing marketing strategies, and maintaining compliance with laws and guidelines.Knowledge of socialmedia markting will be an advantage

The job description includes:

Supervising work at all levels (receptionists, kitchen staff, maids, office employees etc.) and set clear objectives

Planning activities and allocate responsibilities to achieve the most efficient operating model

Managing budgets/expenses, analyze and interpret financial information and monitor sales and profits

Developing and implement an intuitive and efficient marketing strategy to promote the hotel’s services

Communicating with customers when appropriate (welcome them in the facilities, address their complaints, find solutions to problems, offer information etc.)

Dealing with maintenance issues, shortages in staff or equipment, renovations etc.

Collaborating with external parties such as suppliers, travel agencies, event/conference planners etc.

Inspect facilities regularly and enforce strict compliance with health and safety standards

Accountant

Responsibilities 

The job responsibilities for the position includes:

To provide management and financial accounting support for the organization which includes taking responsibility for the entries on the general ledger including reconciliations and completing detailed reviews of the profit and loss account on the company accounting system.

Preparation and reconciliation of Profit and Loss and Balance sheet reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.

Assisting with budgeting and forecasting.

Managing relationship with external stakeholders, ensuring that appropriate reports and documentations are submitted to and are updated with the IRS.

Managing the company’s financial affairs and general book keeping.

Daily monitoring and management of several company bank accounts.

Assistance with preparation of annual tax returns and other regulatory submissions.

Effective management of a projects budget.

Ensuring that the accounting process complies with the law.

Providing accurate, understandable, timely information that supports your management decisions, including analysis and recommendations.

Overseeing bookkeepers in the firm (if any) and setting up and monitoring the accounting system and interpreting the data from the bookkeeper’s activities.

Apply required construction accounting standards and procedures to the recording and reporting of construction activity

Set up jobs, budget control, subcontracts, and change orders in accounting software.

Work closely with Construction Project Managers from beginning to end of project to ensure receivables and payables are handled properly and timely accounted for.

Understand terms in owner contracts and subcontractor contracts to ensure accuracy and timeliness of progress billings and payments.

Understand and maintain standard cost codes in accounting system

Communicate with various funding agencies (i.e. Title Company, Escrow Company) regarding pay application process and requirements needed for payment.

Manage lien waiver disbursement and collection.

Review and approve payables weekly for payment.

Communicate with Construction division and external vendors and subcontractors via phone and email.

Prepare journal entries.

Assist with month-end and year-end closings.

Assists with prep of monthly financial reports and account analyses.

Monitor and resolve bank issues including fee anomalies and check differences.

Review account/bank reconciliations.

Assist with preparation and coordination of audit and tax return processes.

Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures

Requirements

Interested candidates should possess a BSc / HND in relevant fields

Our client urgently needs the services of a self driven and articulate Accountant with a minimum of 5 years experience.

Candidates who have worked in similar position in the construction industry will have an advantage.

Due to the hike in transport fares, candidates living within Ikeja would also be most preferred.

Civil Engineer


Job Description

Our client urgent desires the services of an experienced building construction Engineer who is hard working, trustworthy and has a minimum of 7 years experience in the construction Industry.

The JD for this position is as follows:

Determine and define scope of work deliverable and predict resources needed to complete project.

Prepares preliminary and final designs for complex projects from written/verbal

direction, or from a general assignment of an area of engineering responsibility

Participates in the design, preparation and checking of construction plans, site investigations, cost estimates, specifications, and reports

Assist to obtain necessary permits, approvals, and other regulatory prerequisites.

Manage site design, civil & construction schedule and activities

Issue progress updates as needed regarding deliverables, costs and timelines.

Ensure site build works are done in compliance with all relevant site build safety codes and guidelines

Collaborate with design, civil, structural, and architects to determine the specifications of the project.

Determine needed (manpower, resources equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.

Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met.

Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies.

Investigates structural damages and prepares estimated cost of repair, prepares reports pertaining to the progress of design, construction and other agencies.

Supervise the work of laborers, engineers and give them guidance when needed.

Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.

Review and make recommendations in relation to equipment to
effectively and efficiently deliver projects and resource requirements to CBC

Represent the Company in major meetings

Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards
and report issues.

Any other assignment from the Management.

Requirements

This person must have HND or BSc in Engineering. A higher National Diploma as a Builder will be accepted. It is also a pre-requisite that the ideal candidate must have a professional certificate from a recognized professional institute.

Field Sales Electrical Engineer


Job Description

Our client currently desires the services of experienced Electrical Field Sales, service and Installation Engineer that is self driven and result oriented to oversee the operations in the Victoria Island Office in Lagos.

The ideal candidate must have strong interpersonal relationship skills in addition to customer relationship experience and a wealth of knowledge in dealing with corporate clients.
