This is my feed fermenting. it's in a open place but no direct sunlight. the net is to keep off insects like flies. will be properly fermented in 3 days.

PLS HOW DO I FERMENT THE FOOD

10ml of LAB to 3 litres of water. put the solution in a glass container or a thick plastic container and add the feed. make sure the solution is completely covering the feed. put a net over it and keep in an open place but away from the sun for 3 days. you may add water when the feed swells to the surface of the solution. on the 3rd day you may give the feed to your birds.

My formula is a trade secret since I sell poultry feed commercially so I can't disclose it. However I can help with the fermenting. You need to buy lactobasillus serum for feed fermenting. you ferment for 3 days and mix with a little dry feed. it's great and guarantees bigger and heavier birds.

Runny brown poop. Could be E.Coli OR Infectious bronchitis. A mixture of ginger, garlic and basil extract would do the job. It's a lot easier if you use the organic approach from day 1. I'm not sure how effective this concoction would be since you have always used vaccines for your birds.

I accidentally crushed one of my birds under the drinker. learned a very valuable lesson today. I'm sad it died but I'm glad it wasn't because of some disease. Others are doing great and are very active. I'll start giving them fermented feed from Monday to boost their growth.

I'd advice every poultry farmer that wants to adopt this organic approach to also buy lactobasillus. Its an amazing serum that can be used for both poultry and fish farming. It prevents a couple of diseases and improves the gut health of the birds and also boosts growth. Cheers.

I bought these 5 layers from a dying farm a few days ago. They were sick and the owner lost interest in the business so I bought just 5 to challenge myself. I used the organic approach and today they are fine. they are on my formulated feed and hopefully they will start laying again.

My chix are 2 weeks today. Not impressed with their weight so I switched to my main feed which I also formulated myself. They have been on ginger, garlic and aloe vera extract. I sometimes give them Bitterleaf, scentleaf and ginger as antibiotics. No vaccine no disease no mortality. All natural herbs. They are fine and very active. Will give them fermented Tagiri in a few days to help boost immunity against NCD and also for some valuable nutrients.

non that I know of and using organic approach is relatively safer than conventional drugs.

I'm no expert but this looks like either NCD or Mereks disease (Range Paralysis) and it's far advanced.

For disinfecting mix white vinegar and lime and spray in the pen. allow a week or so and it's done.

Day 10. Birds are self sufficient as regards to heat. I've removed the papers and only use the rice hulls. yesterday was fresh water day. Today resumed with the normal ginger, garlic and aloe vera concoction. no sickness no death. Bio-security is strong.

That's a classic symptom of coccidiosis. Bitterleaf, garlic and Ginger mixture would do the trick. you can add aloe vera to the mixture if you have access to it. Cheers.

Also, To improve the gut health of your birds I'd advice you use lactobasillus. you either add it to their water (for layers) or for fermenting feed for your broilers. What it does is that it predigests the feed breaking it down to its simplest forms so your FCR is boosted which means bigger and heavier birds. I didn't use it because it would interfere with my feed experiment.

I add 40ml of aloe vera gel to 4 litres of water.

Yes the mixture is for prevention of those diseases and from week 2 you could add Bitterleaf twice a week.

Some people do but I'd advice you don't mix.

i think thats a wrong measurement, when you measure liquids,you use ml. but solid, u use gram or kg.

I know too well about measurements but in this case the measurement is different in other to get the most potent solution. you can google it to get a different measurement but this works for me. Cheers.

yes it can. use a measuring cup and pour the powder to the level you want. let's say you have a 100ml measuring container and you pour the powder until it reaches the 30ml mark. that's 30ml of paw paw seed powder.

It depends.. some people deworm broilers at 4 weeks+ and layers every 2 months.

To deworm your birds organically you dry and blend paw paw seeds and mix with double the quantity of water. let's say you have 15ml of the grounded seeds, you need to mix with 30ml of water. Blend the mixture for a few minutes and sieve to get the solution. Administer 100ml of the solution to 1litre of water and give your birds for 3 days. repeat after 2 weeks and repeat 2 weeks after that. it's bulletproof against worms. Cheers.
