A TV/Radio host Israel Laryea, who was on the flight with Bukom Banku today, said that the boxer revealed that he had stopped bleaching his skin. The 35-year-old earlier said he bleached to look like a German. "My wife told me to bleach myself so we can look like German people" he said.

Singer, Chukie Edozien, also known as Lynxx, has announced that one of his social media accounts has been hacked and is now filled with n*des and provocative pictures.
According to the singer, it is a clear indication that once you chose the path of righteousness, enemies and trials multiply. He however restated that nothing could sway him off his walk with Christ.

“God is definitely in control! Who ever is behind it, I leave u for God.. Apologies to my followers for such pictures, God pass them.”

Lynxxx also revealed that he had lost friends who could not cope with his newfound sense of purpose.

Fast-rising Ghana based Nigerian singer, Mr Eazi, whose real name is Tosin Ajibade, has revealed that meeting Wizkid was made possible by other Ghanaian artistes like R2bess and Efya.

Mr Eazi, who recently was signed on to StarBoy Worldwide owned by another Nigerian singer, Wizkid, said they treated him like family after hearing his songs.
”I had known R2bees from way back when I used to be into events and so I remember my first set of songs, I sent it to Mugeez, and he told me that it was dope. Since then, R2bess were worrying me to put out the songs even though we hadn’t started putting them out. they were like guy whats wrong with you? put out this music, so they became from client to family.
“I used to go to their house to chill. Then, they are also family with Efya, and after the songs, I and Efya became friends, we talked almost everyday and we were like a family, the family extends to Wizkid.

So it was more like meeting the other part of the family. So, it’s just like you met your brother.”

The singer along with R2bees and Efya, were signed to StarBoy Worldwide in May, 2016.

Black Coffee who just won the Best International Act, Africa category at the 2016 BET Awards has stated that he would love to see Wizkid take the award ahead of him.

Black Coffee is nominated with two other South African acts, AKA and Cassper Nyovest but he said he would rather see the award goes to the Nigerian star Wizkid, “I would like to see Wizkid take it. He’s worked hard! I really think he deserves it. He’s also done well internationally being featured on Drake’s album and working with Chris Brown.”

He also said he ‘d always imagined himself among the biggest stars of the world, “One of the things I dreamt about when I was young was to be friends with Michael Jackson. I always wanted to take SA to the world and be known internationally. I had mapped down my dream since the beginning and I’ve been working towards them.”

Black Coffee said being nominated for the BET Award is a reminder of the hard work he has put in building his career. He also praised the BET Awards for being a platform that doesn’t only promote African artists but is also involved with the entertainers.

Penthauze act, Azubuike Chibuzo Nelson, also known as Phyno, has revealed the title of his sophomore album.

The Igbo rapper has stated that much would be expected in the album as he has been working towards it on a low key.

“I have been working on my album on a low key, and the sophomore album drops this year. The title of the album will be ‘the playmaker’.

The rapper, who explained that he got the title from friends, said, “Well it’s something that people have been calling me for a while now, when the album drops finally, you are going to understand why it’s the playmaker, even on the football field, you know who a playmaker is, likewise business, that’s the role am playing in the album.”

Phyno started his musical career as a producer in 2003. He is renowned for rapping in Igbo language. His debut studio album, ‘No Guts No Glory’, was released in 2014. It produced the singles “Ghost Mode”, “Man of the Year”, “Parcel” and “O Set”.

As a producer, he has worked with artists such as Timaya, Flavour, Ruggedman, Bracket, J Martins and Mr Raw.

The works of Nigerian music legend, 2face Idibia will be unveiled at the Grammy Museum’s new exhibit dubbed ‘Sounds of Africa’.
On Friday June 24, 2016, history will we made at the famous Grammy Museum in downtown Los Angeles.

The works of Nigerian music legend, 2face Idibia will be unveiled at the Grammy Museum’s new exhibit dubbed ‘Sounds of Africa’.

The event will focus on displaying and celebrating legacies in the African music industry and it’ll feature other African acts like Angelique Kidjo, Salif Keith, Mafikizolo among others.

These artistes who are also winners of Grammy awards and BET awards respectively, are being celebrated for their creative process as well as the art/ technology of their recording process.

The exhibition will feature handwritten lyrics, costumes, and an array of rare musical instruments.

Other legendary artistes on exhibition include Nigerian visual artist Laolu Senbanjo, Nigerian singer/ songwriter Sir Victor Uwaifo, Ice Prince and Congolese rumba singer/songwriter Tabu Ley Rochereau.

Ybnl Boss and Versatile Music artiste, Olamide aka Badoo is one of the most respected and recognized artiste in the Country…
His versatility to rap and sing and also fit into different genres of music from trap to reggae to fuji and many more has distinguished from The crop of talented artistes in Nigeria today..

This brings one to the reason why the artiste has not been duly recognized internationally and outside Nigeria alongside his peers like Davido and Wizkid..

Why is Olamide name lacking in most international awards and the talented artiste not getting deserved attention from the outside World..

Note – Doing indigenous music is not an excuse for lack of intl recognition. 9ice was invited to nelson mandela and MOB0 and Yousuf won a grammy with his local songs..

So doing local or indigenous song is never an excuse..

1) Quantity Over Quality – Olamide has made quantity is main goal..

Flood the scene with songs and songs till you reach a point of equilibrum and then start to decline…

Olamide has failed to allow the people thirst for his songs and his releases are not up to expectations too…

It gets to a point listeners are no longer gingered to listen to what the artist will say as artist becomes monotous and repititive.

The rapper is even gearing up to release a sixth studio album.

2) Branding – Branding is also very much …. The Kind of brand Olamide potrays is of the not too internationally minded artist.

He hardly dresses corporate and potray his versatility in his brand.. He has even gone ahead to Brand himself a Local Rapper.

This type of image projected is the way he is addressed.. He has even refused to meet up with more influential managers and more serious minded and music experts …..

The lack of Expertise on the side of the management and consisting of influential managers does bear its mark.

3) Appeal – While deviation from indigenous music is not the point. Appeal is very paramount….. Olamide style is not appealing to the outside world.. Sometimes balancing works.. I wonder if Hausas listen to olamide songs ?

But i bet more listen to 9ice ? Why A little of more mature songs and english lyrics might do the trick….Do something appealing to every one and yet dont forget the minority.

You dont waste international features with Wale on songs like papilo you go make us proud…. Give them what they love.. Trap,pop.

Feature more of their artistes and seek for international features…. Olamide is a Legend and will remain one…

However , breaking into the international market Like Wizkid is not an easy job…… Olamide has too much talent than to be labelled a local rapper…

We want to see him topping the billboard chart and copping his own BET award soon too… Enough of the Headies and NEA awards.
