Mystique20:
I do understand your need to educate others on the other option, however, don't you think it'll serve everyone better if only those with admissions booked?
When an applicant finally decides to cancel, don't you think it'll be too late for whoever would have gotten that spot?
This might be a faceless forum, but people take the advice they get from here seriously, therefore if we encourage the culture of booking when admission is given, it'll save everyone the stress and help hasten up the process.
Idealism can be counter-productive AT A TIME LIKE THIS.
I remember a guy in 2018 who booked with a letter from the institution he applied to stating he had applied. At that point, his admission wasn't guaranteed yet he was granted a date. And he got admitted before the date, thankfully. At least that's a precedent. There have also been people who were granted canceled appointments which became available and they were able to make it because they were prepared. Please don't be too quick to label a contrary perspective selfish and unreasonable. Point taken regardless.
Shalom.

I wonder who you are trying to favor
over 80% of German student applicants are on NL. This is like a father teaching "survival of the fittest mentality within his own family".
This what Mystique20 and some of us are trying to correct.
Last winter application was messed up for some people. I had Admission letter in June, applied for interview the following day but i was given interview date 3 months after.

Let us be orderly please, "NA WE WE".

My advice to those of us who have multiple admission letter is to have your interview with admission letter of schools in smaller towns. Visa processing in some big cities takes very long time. E.g Dresden is 6 months, Hamburg is 3 months.
my 1 cent advice sha.
Actually that 20% (according to your statistics) are probably only aware of the website booking system (which bypasses admission) as the email system is depicted as being exclusive to scholarship students on the website.
Thanks for the info on the advantage of filing with small cities though.
