For 20ft container, I don't think 1.5 will be enough. Remember the shipping fee alone from China to Nigeria will cost you not less than $2000. What about the clearance fee, which will cost you not less that $3000. Suppose that you spent $5000(which is almost impossible) for shipping and clearance, how much do you have left? $5000 is almost 800,000naira and you have 700,000 left. While N1.5m may not get you a container load on cash basis, it could get you several container loads on supplier credit, since you will only pay for the guarantee of future payment. The questions are: how long have you been in this business? Do you have ready buyers for your proposed import? Are there firm orders?
