An American, a Nigerian and an Irish are remanded in prison custody in China. One night the three plan to escape. The American goes first. As he makes for the fence, he kicks a tin lying on the floor. The guard barks out, "Who is that?" To which the American replies "Meeow". The guard relaxes, and the American makes good his escape. Next comes the Nigerian, who kicks the same tin. The guards cocks his rifle and shouts again, "Who is that?" The Nigerian makes the "Meeow" sound, and as the guard relaxes, off he escapes. The Irishman takes his turn and like the other two, kicks the tin. When the guard demands, "Who is that?" The Irishman replies in a squeaky voice, "It is a cat." That was so wise. |
