When I change from 2G to 3G on my BB the battery becomes red from full but when left with 2G can last for up to 4hrs.....when charged goes from red to full

Reason - Your 3G signal is not very good, hence making your phone resources run overtime. It's like requiring a fiat punto, to perform like a ferrari.
Stick with 2.5G (EDGE) , and 3G for only downloads + a charger plugged in.

..thanks so much but my 2G is slow sometimes I have to reboot itm..I'm using etisalat

For normal chat aplications (bbm, whatsapp) + emails, 2.5G is fine. Of course if you want to download via EDGE, its going to be slow.

My etisalat 2G is so slow that it takes up to 10 mins to search on google sometimes it brings the information that ''not connected to the internet'' HELP
