Ok, I was not minding my business yet again when I stumbled on these rants on Dr. Sid's Twitter T.
Pokenosing further, I found out the rants were directed at TheNetng.

TheNetng was the website that had first publicised Dr Sid's chat with Davido where he lashed out about D'Banj suppressing them under Mo'Hits.

Here are excerpts from TheNetng's review that infuriated Dr. Sid.

Just as he sang about a certain girl called ‘Amina’ on a track of the same name, Frenzy is flashy but lacks substance.
D’Prince has never paraded himself as a ‘deep’ or ‘conscious’ artiste, so don’t expect depth on this album.
What you will get from him are mostly party tracks.
‘Bad Girl’ the album’s opener experiments with country music and rock. The result isn’t that great, as D’Prince sings “I dey pop, I am not a pauper, drinks flying in the air like a chopper.
More cringe worthy lines pop up on ‘Shower’ when D’Prince actually says ‘my money wey dey ooze like chuku chuku’.
On ‘No More Sleeping On ‘Em’ where Wizkid awkwardly boasts of having a 9mm gun like David Banner, D’Prince drops another wack line when he sings ‘I don grow o, I chop Don Jazzy fertilizer. It’s not something that you find in your Tantalizer’.
When a superhero is in trouble, his superhero friends come in and rescue him. Fellow Mavins, Wande Coal and Tiwa Savage save the latter end of the LP with their feature on ‘Ojoro’ and ‘Ife’ respectively.
They help salvage the album as lackluster songs (Chant, Thank You) threaten to drown it.
Frenzy partially lives up to its name, as it boats of songs that fuel your party rage.
It just doesn’t take you through the whole night as it runs out of ideas and gets low on creative fuel.


You may have one hell of a ride bumping this album, but you’ll be left with a nasty hangover the morning after, wondering where the plot was lost.

This guy should STFU! Opinions are like azz holes and everyone's got one. That he likes the frenzy album doesn't mean everyone should. he should leave his music and create his own review website since he knows how to review better than those guys.

Opinions are free, if the publisher thought the album was worth 3 out of 5 then that's his opinion, Dr SID (Abi whatever they call u) learn to deal with it, must everyone agree with you

Dr Sid needs to be sent on a course to learn professionalism, along with Don Jazzy they both need to find alternative methods to solving their anger issues and hand their twitter accounts to pr agencies that will make better use of it.

You don't call critics 'stupid' you DO NOT insult them for BUYING AND PROMOTING your work! If you disagree you state so and remember perceptions in music will be subjective. Eurgh these artists are borderline disgraceful, its no wonder Dbanj left aall of them behind!

Dr Sid has lost the plot

I Like D'Prince a lot.
All his Singles were hits.
Name any.
He's a very playful Singer, not so serious with his lines.
So don't take the Lyrics hard, just enjoy the movement, beat and junk.
Even Kanye throws Wack lines.

I can understand D'Prince, he has not one single artistic bone in his body. "my money wey dey ooze like chuku chuku". That is pure idiocy, but I really don't care.

My issue though is with Dr Sid. He should know better. We were taught what a METAPHOR is in school, and in case anyone has forgotten, lemme quote from a Google search: "A figure of speech in which an implicit comparison is made between two unlike things that actually have something in common “I dey pop, I am not a pauper, drinks flying in the air like a chopper", please what in the Hell is this?!

I respect Dr Sid, and his hustle, but he should respect himself too.

Having not listened to the album in question but bearing in mind D'Prince's previous efforts like "Omoba" "Ooze" and his collaborations, its so hard not to agree with the review. The guy's lyrics are as weak as GEJ's anti-corruption crusade and if indeed those lines highlighted by the reviewer are from the album, I will not waste bandwidth downloading obvious junk. As for Dr. Sid, he needs an IQ transplant A.S.A.P.

Truth is,its a dance hall track and its really not expected to have strong lines. People just want stuff they can move their body to when sipping their cold boul of beer. Na naija we dey . Na only a meagre percntage of pple dey wait to hear punch lines. Once dey can move their body 2 it, o tan. Wetin timaya,p square,terry G,inyanya etc dey sing. But once deir song hit airwave all man go throw caution 2 d wind. Abeg he sings recreational songs not the deep metaphorical songs y'all dey rant bout.
